Sprucing up the home for the holiday season? We want to see your creative ways of pet-proofing all of those fun and fragile decorations!
Kristi has some recommendations for those of you with cats who love to interact with the new toys/decor:
- Keep them entertained with something more interesting such as videos of wildlife, fish, etc. Youtube has CatTV channels!
- Puzzle feeders or hiding food for those food driven kittens, especially when they need some time to themselves.
- Tinsel is very dangerous if ingested, as it can cause internal issues in the stomach and intestines.
- Do not allow your cat to drink the tree water. It can be toxic!
- Keep phone numbers to emergency clinics and ASPCA Poison Control Hotline number handy just in case of an accidental ingestion of something toxic.
