Hello,

I hope you are well.

This next post is sent with a very heavy heart.

It is with great consideration that due to the diagnosis of PTSD along with the slow healing of my injuries that I will be temporarily closing Leanne’s Petcare in the Swindon area.

I feel this will give me time to fully concentrate on my recovery without the worry that your beloved canines daily needs are not being met.

As stated above, I am hoping this will only be a temporary closure period and my walking boots will be out again in the future.

Thank you all so very much for your patience over these last few months it really does mean a lot to me, and thank you for using my services over the years.

Hello everyone, the cast has gone 🎉🎉

Unfortunately the physio has still deemed me unfit to drive, I have another appointment on Tuesday, if I’m deemed fit I’ll be back with a courtesy vehicle a couple of days later.

Keep everything crossed for me, please. I’m missing my gang so much 🐾🐾🐾

🐾 Update 🐾

Hello everyone.

7 weeks yesterday and my big boy is still staying close.

My cast is due to be removed tomorrow and I had another physio appointment yesterday.

The physio has said that I’m still unable to drive for another week or two. He will be assessing my wrist and back again next week once the cast is off so I’ll have a clearer picture then.

I’m sorry I can’t give you any definitive answers or a timeline for my return, but trust me, I’m desperate to get back to work ASAP.

My mental health is still ‘wobbly’ but I’m on medication and have the support that I need.

Let’s hope I’m able to get back to work very soon 🐾🐾

🐾🐾 Another setback 🐾

Hello all, well, today should have been cast removal day, unfortunately due to illness at GWH my appointment has been cancelled.

They’re going to see me in the next 1-2 weeks, this is a real kick in the teeth, I was hoping to be back sooner rather than later, but as it’s my left wrist I cannot even test drive any vehicles as my insurance would be invalid.

I have tried other hospitals but none have availability and the referral needs to come from GWH for them to even consider this.

I know this is far from ideal, I for one did not want any further set backs, but as I’m living in Oxford, the physio has said I can’t yet drive, the cast is still on and the insurance hasn’t yet paid out, it’s all beyond my control I’m afraid.

🐾🐾 Update 🐾🐾

Hello everyone,

I hope you and your four legged friends are all well.

Just a quick update for you all, my cast is due to be removed this Friday (21st) and I’ve been having physio for the whiplash.

My physio yesterday said I should be ok to drive in the next week or two, as soon as I have the all clear to drive from the physio and I have a vehicle I’ll be back to it.

A massive thank you to all of my lovely clients who have been so patient, the Leanne’s Petcare Team and other local walkers who have stepped in to help in my absence.

I can’t wait to see you all very soon!

Hey everyone, unfortunately I’ve been involved in a serious car accident and have fractured my wrist and have severe whiplash amongst other injuries, thankfully I didn’t have any dogs with me at the time.

I don’t know when I’ll be back in action but I promise to keep you all updated on my recovery.

The recovery time is approximately 6 weeks, I have some other trusted walkers on hand to care for your dogs in my absence if required.

I’ll contact each of you independently when I’m feeling a bit better, I’m currently very sore and need some time to recuperate and process what’s happened.
