South East Asia is starting to lead the way in K9 deployment and utilisation of K9 teams from boarder security and police to military application. We are honoured to be a chosen partner by more than 8 agencies in the region to supply training and consultation services for their K9 units as they grow.

Overall, tactically trained k9 handlers and k9s can significantly enhance the effectiveness of an agency team by providing superior detection capabilities, deterrence, rapid response, versatility, situational awareness, non-verbal communication, psychological benefits, and mobility.

We had the opportunity to sit in as an auditor at the AWPDA Wolves School for 2hrs. Watching these teams work with their K9 partners was amazing. Good luck guys on your next 5 weeks.

Trainer Highlight: Jesper Andersen

Jesper is a Royal Danish Air Force Military Security – k9 handler with 18 years combined experience. he has operationally deployed 4 times and 1 as a k9 handler, prior to his transition to k9 handler, Jesper spent 6 years in the Royal Danish Army Recon, infantry. Jesper has completed numerous military working dog course’s, k9 handler course’s, explosive detection course’s and patrol dog courses. In 2018, 2021 and 2023 he took first place at the Military Working Dog, Danish Championships and in 2018 he was awarded gold in the military working dog, patrol proficiency distinction. Jesper is the owner of k9 life Denmark where they produce police dogs for the United State Law Enforcement market since 2019 and conduct training and workshops for law enforcement and military handlers. k9 life produces around 5 completed k9s each year in dual purpose, detection and MPC.

We had the honour to meet Director General Sem Sotan of Special Intervention Unit under the Ministry of Interior and Colonel Chea Rado Head of K9 unit in the Special Intervention Unit.

A great tour of their K9 unit facility. Always good to see how internal units are achieving the requirements set out for them.
