Cedar County League for Animal Welfare CCLAW is a volunteer / foster based, licensed 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, that does rescue and TNVR for cats in Cedar County. CCLAW is it's own etinty.

Cedar County League for Animal Welfare (CCLAW) is a volunteer based, foster to adopt, non-profit, licensed 501 (c)(3) organization. All donations to our organization are tax deductible. Our organization is run by former animal rescue / shelter board members and volunteers who have life-long experience with animals. The stray, homeless, and feral cat population is an issue in many areas, and Cedar

County is no exception. We work tirelessly to keep this population under control through our trap, neuter, vaccinate, release (TNVR) program and via rescue through our foster to adopt program. We are a NO KILL organization, with exceptions made only under extreme circumstances for animals who are unable to be helped, and such decisions are not made without the guidance of our trusted local veterinarians. CCLAW maintains positive working relationships with many animal shelters and non-profit rescues throughout Iowa which allows us to network and ensure the best possible outcome for all cats in our care.

Your can and bottle donations are a MAJOR income source for Animal rescue in Cedar Co. Thanks for drop offs behind the old Oasis alley of 523 Cedar. NO HYVEE, no tea, no coffee, and no water bottles. It must be carbonated. Thanks so much!!!

Yet another reason I'm not about anything fur. This is disgusting! Limbs missing even! Wire bottom cages need to be illegal!! Horrible.

Humane Society says farm was used to raise and slaughter animals for fur and urine, and to sell them as exotic pets

🚨POSSIBLE EMERGENCY FOSTER NEEDED 🚨

CCLAW just received word of a cat abandoned in a home in Cedar County.

We *assume* this cat to be tame and left behind by owners when they were reportedly evicted from the home, but unfortunately, we have no confirmed details at this time (report of food available). The overall condition of the cat is also unknown. We appreciate your patience as there is a legal process to navigate in this situation. As things evolve, we will share more information (including pictures if we are able to obtain them).

If you are available to foster this cat (possibly in the next couple of days) please comment on this post, message us, or email us at [email protected]

PLEASE also message us if you are interested in fostering in the future. As a foster-based organization it is imperative that we have list of people available to help in these situations. We have kennels, supplies, and food available for our foster volunteers. 🐾
