Juniper needs a family! She’s raised her kittens now needs her own family. Turns out her foster can only foster her for a couple more weeks, so if we don’t find her fur-ever family by then, we are gonna need a new foster family for her. Foster needed for these sweet 7 mos old kitties! Oliver and Abby were lost from their mom from the Hampton Inn about a month ago. (See Skippy Lou Lost and Found FB) Both were found luckily about 4 days later, not with ea other. The map in pics shows where Oliver was found. Abby was about that far, but opposite direction. Their brothers Oreo and Sami, pictured in the L/F flier, are still missing. Oliver and Abby are in short term foster with volunteers taking turns taking care of them but they need a proper foster home. Nine Lives Nashville is taking them into our rescue until it is determined whether their mom is well enough to take care of them again, but most likely they will need a new family. Jesse, our front declawed senior tabby boy, was adopted a couple weeks ago, but his new mom discovered she is very allergic and can’t keep Jesse. He needs a new spot, foster or adoption right away so his new mom can get some relief. She is heart broken to have to give him up. Time for an update. We got a last minute miracle foster! The whole gang is together and having a big ‘ol time. Everyone is spayed or neutered now, everyone tested neg on combo, and are Utd on Vax. New kitties have made the trip back to Nashville from Gainsboro just fine. Precious is exploring, Mr Fluff is having a drink, Tank (tux) and Harry (dark tabby) are chilling under the potting bench and Raymond (solid gray) hasn’t been brave enough quite yet to come out of his carrier to see what’s up. These kitties will be ready for adoption soon.
Volunteer Opportunity- Help needed to feed/scoop for 6 kitties in Inglewood. NLN had someone let us use her poolhouse to house 14 kitties we pulled from a hording case in 2019. Now she needs our help. She’s really sick and needs to re-home her cats. We are getting 6 this week and need volunteers to take turns caring for these kitties until vac’s are updated and they can either go into foster homes or be adopted. They will be in their own heated/cooled building with volunteer access, located near Stratford HS. Can you take one day a week, or Tues/Thurs? Need 2-4 people who can take turns on a sched. Update: Kid Rock aka Eddie is settled with a foster with 2 pre-teen girls and 3 other kitties. They sure will have fun with a little 2 1/2 lb kitten. He was a mess. Still urine stained after his bath (was in a kennel but no litter box - being fed dog food we found out) but he’s feeling better now, clean, capstar/Revolution, strongid and real kitten food. His first vet appt for chk up, chip chk / get microchip, combo test and FVRCP is scheduled for early next week. Pre-adoption inquiries welcome.
Rescued off the street downtown Nashville by someone on vaca in an AirBnb. Needs a foster ASAP. They couldn’t get MACC to take it and the only thing they know to do is to just let it back outside but it’s in a totally different place than where they got it so it doesn’t even know that territory. Nine Lives will take into our rescue if we can find a foster for him. 7/9/22
Update: Wow! Look-y at Opie now. That’s what TLC and some good meds will do for ya. This is why we do this! He’s foster wants to adopt him. We’ll do the paperwork to officially adopt after he’s big enough to neuter and get his vaccines. (Always can use funds to cover vet bill and supplies for our foster babies- PayPal is [email protected].)
Update after vet visit: He’s (Charlie-changed to Opie. It fits him better) is at least a pound underweight: only weighs 1.5 lbs at 8 weeks. Has URI, coccidia, fleas, and probly round worms. He’s had capstar, and Revolution. Getting meds from vet plus he’ll get strongid, terramycin, TummyWorks probiotics. He’s neg/neg on combo. Let us know if anyone can foster. Have a temp foster thru the weekend and tentative foster starting Sun, but still looking in case anything falls thru. Thx much. Any help toward vet bill is appreciated. PayPal is [email protected].

ASAP Foster needed please! Meet Nutmeg and CinnaMan. The family is moving and they know where they are going isn’t safe for inside / outside kitties. CinnaMan was born at their house and doesn’t know another family. They took Nutmeg in when a neighbor died and the family couldn’t take her. Can you help? Might you have a spot for them to be while getting their shots updated and advertised for adoption?
Kitty friends, we are getting multiple requests every day about cats who have been abandoned outside and of course, kittens! It is HOT outside and it is difficult for these kitties to survive outdoors on their own. Pretty Kitty (aka Bella) needs a new foster or to just move in to her forever home. She’s been doing her “Dora the Explorer” imitation and getting out from her foster home. She’s back pretty quick but we all are a nervous wreck. She needs a storm door (ha) so she can’t make a quick get away. Pretty Kitty is used to another kitty around and has her own agenda when it comes to cuddling but does love her foster mom. She’s quite funny actually, even with just a tad bit of Tortie-tude. Fosters needed for both these kitties! Both are young but living in very small spaces in an elder person facility. They are stressing ya’ll!! And acting out cuz there’s not enough room for the zoomies! Both need some room to be able to run and play, and get out that energy that comes with being a young cat. Barbie (gray and white) and Kiki (dilute Tortie) can be fostered or foster to adopt. Both of the owners are surrendering to our rescue and are heart broken. Sweets needs a foster, at least during a search for her owners. She was found in East Nashville on Riverside Dr a couple houses up from the entrance at Shelby Park. She’s in pretty bad shape. We will take her into our rescue for veterinary help and adoption after some preliminary vetting and while the finder searches for her owner. She has really bad teeth and is really skinny. She has liver values indicating she’s starving. Don’t know if it’s because she’s not been able to eat because of her teeth, or if she couldn’t find a feeder outside.
