Reminiscing on the 2023 bird season today, here’s a few pics of some of our good boys and girls out there doing what they love!
There’s a special picture at the end that popped up in my memories today of Jim and his queen Amber, it was a freezing winters night in the shed in the far north where Jim and I are up prepping this lovely pup for his 5am flight the next morning! And as always, his best mate Amber is waiting up with us while the others cause a ruckus outside🥰😂

Opening morning is underway! Hope everyone has a safe and fun opening weekend with plenty numbers 🦆 Ruby & ruff are off to a busy start with 116 parrys before 10am, bring on the evening mallards and geese!

Very distressed female dog found running along Napier Road (near Te Mata Figs), Havelock North holding cares up 19.02.23. Now with SPCA. Do you recognise her or know who will be missing her?

Couple of these beautiful boys looking for a new family ☺️
Proven bloodlines, both parents are exceptional hunters and workers, siblings from previous litter are great young hunters and conservation dogs. These pups are very steady and have great prey drive already! (Here’s some pictures of their siblings all working well at 6 months old right on time for last years hunting season just as these ones will be)

Very excited to share our new litter of pups on the ground 😍

Pups will be ready for homes Mid December Papered, their first vax, vet check, microchips and have been wormed organised prior to going to their forever homes.

These pups are very steady and cool headed, affectionate and cute! With their parents being well versed in hunting these pups are sure to follow in their parents footsteps when given the opportunity. Some of the siblings from the previous litter from the sire and dam are nationally renowned conservation and detection dogs.

As always with our GSPs we prefer for them to go to hunting/working homes as they have such great genetic prey/work drive that shines through even at this young age. (If you are wanting one just as a pet, still give us a call, we might be able to work something out)

Mother (Zoe) Broadbent’s bitch is steady and calm.
Father (R***r) Broadbent's dog is hardy and protective.

Both parents are duck and upland game dogs and are steady, highly sociable and are NZKC registered.

It’s that time again when our babies start to leave the nest! Two of these guys are off to retrieve waterfowl and the other is off to find deer in the Uruwera’s 🥰🦆🦌

We still have one little girl looking for a loving home if anyone is interested, in the mean time shes just living the good life with her mum and aunties ☺️

These guys are starting to come into their own now, their personalities are starting to shine through! They are such a steady cool headed bunch, we can’t wait to see them excel in their different fields. We’re lucky to have them going to mostly hunting homes and very excited to have one go into conservation, following in the paw prints of her big brother and sister!

The Naughty Nine are growing fast! They love their Kai and playing all day 🥰 6 weeks old now and not long until they meet their forever families! Due to buyers falling through there are a couple of pups still looking for hunting homes, so flick us a PM if you’re interested🙏🏼

We’ve done a lot of growing in the last few weeks! Our eyes have opened, we’re up on our feet and we’ve discovered our lovely little/big voices 😂. Time flies when you’re lying around drinking mums milk all day everyday …

Our little secret we’ve kept for the past week… the naughty 9 are here 🥰 !! 6 girls and 3 boys, all very happy, healthy and demanding to their mother who is doing a great job! It’s Zoe’s second litter, so she’s been an absolute champion at taking care of them 👏🏽

She is quite fond of her Aunty Zoe and follows her around everywhere, she even snuck some of the unborn puppies milk lastnight 😂 🤦‍♀️

My name is Ashley (Hine) Waitai-Dye, born and bred in the Far North, I whakapapa to Ngati Kuri, Te Rarawa, Nga Puhi and Tainui. From a young age I have been and avid hunter; pigs, ducks and deer have been my main target species. I love immersing myself in the outdoors and love being off the grid.

A massive part of my hunting and outdoor activities has always been dogs. I’m very passionate about GSP’s their nature their personality, drive, persistence, allegiance and love.

It’s awesome to see owners getting the most out of their dog/bitch and I’m readily contactable no matter what it is. I am more than happy and willing to help with dog training, issues, tips and tricks.

I work full time as a Tāmoko artist at my studio in Kaitaia. Te Ao Maori is a huge part of my life. In my other spare time I’m also learning the craft of traditional waka building.

I am thoroughly looking forward to meeting everyone along this journey of GSP breeding.
