Chewing... One of the most underrated methods for getting energy out. Highly recommend hard chewy toys or one you can put food in to stimulate their problem solving skills. Keeps them occupied and enthralled.

Play with your dog for about 10 mins before a drill or training workout. Play tug, ball,chase or whatever your dog likes best. Doing this will get them interested in you and will help keep them engaged with you.

So maybe you just got a puppy or just want to teach your dog a new perspective on life. Remember you dont have to be super alpha to be the alpha in your home. Being stern doesn't mean you are being disrespectful of your baby. Giving consistent boundaries is what is important in these cases. Remember puppy owners look at your baby and remember it will be big one day. Think if you dont want a big adult doing these things dont let your puppy do it. Jumping..... Not even from the start. Try putting baby into a sit for 3 counts before loving on them. Or try it at the door before your dog bolts out. Just those three counts make a big difference if consistently done throughout the day. Reward with love and praise most and treats second.

This is what you get when you put the time into your puppy. Note that when i take her bone she doesn't object (no food aggression) and asks for it back when she politely sits for it back (manners). Sit is what i have taught her to do when she asks for something or if i want her attention she comes and sits at my feet. And of course when we ask her to just sit lol. It takes a lot of time for this but it is possible. Now im not saying shes perfect. Shes still only 6 months old and has the attention span to go with it. But this is just an example of what good leadership can do. And don't forget to ALWAYS praise that puppy when they do what you want. It shows you are happy with them and they want to please you soo much it will want them to do "good" again. Bam.! Foundations of a good dog 🐕 thanks guys.

Puppies are amazing but if no time and effort is put in then you will get nothing in return. Remember to commit at least 20 mins a day getting you dog to do a task. Whether it be sit stay or roll over the stimulation is what counts. Practice makes perfect. Keep training 🐶

Please please do your research and really think about if you're ready for a puppy before you buy on. Whether you are adopting or buying from a breeder please take the time to make sure you have the time and will power to be a proper leader like your pup deserves.

Ok so worried anxious pet owners this is for you. Let me introduce one of my pups Freya the chunky mini pit bull. She is my anxious baby. At one point in time she wouldn't even use the bathroom without one of us literally right beside her. Today i caught her snuggled under some blankets doing her own thing without anyone near her. She had severe separation anxiety. Doors were ruined from the clawing and sooo much stuff was chewed into tiny pieces. But bc we worked with her and used finally found the proper method of training for her she is soooooooooooo much better and my best behaved dog. My point... Dont give up on your baby just bc there is a problem. Your dog is a life long commitment and they deserve for you to be a great leader like you expect them to be great pets. If you're having issues and need any help please dont hesitate to rsvp for my training class normally sundays at 3. 🐶
