✨**Happy News from Rescue Kitties of Hawai’i!**✨
Aaaaaand they’re OFF!!!✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️
This week, we successfully flew 2 of our adorable kittens—Misty (calico) and Stash (gray/white)—from O‘ahu to our rescue partners in the Boston area. These lucky felines will have forever homes in time for Christmas—thanks to the incredible kindness and generosity of our donors! 💕

Misty and Stash were pulled from a very dangerous situation as abandoned bottle babies on O‘ahu a few months ago. Stash was critically ill and hospitalized at VCA Family and Oahu Veterinary Specialty Center and thanks to the amazing support from YOU, our incredible RKH🐾 donors, and our kitty friends, Dagmar and Aubrey, we were able to get him the medical care he so desperately needed. Today, he’s a completely healed, happy, and healthy kitten!🐱
Thank you to our amazing RKH foster families, our phenomenal No-Kill rescue partners, our awesome Dr Claire, Alaska Airlines Pacific Air Cargo and to ALL who support our mission and daily hard work saving 💕precious lives🐈🐈‍⬛

Because of your support, we had enough in our general fund to cover their flight. ✈️ Now, we only have 2 healthy kittens left, both ready for adoption and scheduled to fly next week!!🙌

This is an incredible milestone! Out of hundreds of cats—kittens, bottle babies, seniors, and special needs—that Rescue Kitties of Hawai’i pulled from the dangerous streets of O‘ahu this year, every single one has been flown to safety and adopted.♥️

🚨 Emergency Fundraiser for Freedom: A Brave Kitten in Urgent Need ❤️🤍💙
Please Help!!😩
🌟 Our sweet kitten, Freedom, 🇺🇸 has suddenly stopped eating and drinking. He has a high fever, is severely dehydrated, and x-rays show he is compacted with hard p**p in his colon. Without immediate intervention, his condition could worsen. The emergency vet has recommended a procedure to help unblock his colon and save him from further pain and complications.😭

Freedom was rescued on July 4th 🇺🇸 as a newborn from a backyard sink with his mama, America. This little fighter has been full of spirit, but now he needs urgent medical care.
We’re asking for your help to cover Freedom’s emergency vet bill and this urgent procedure. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward his medical care.

Medical 🚨 Funds Needed for lil Inkjet: A Deaf Kitten 🐱 Fighting for a Happy Life🩵🐾
Urgent goal: $256 🙏
Inkjet 🩵 is a sweet, playful boy who has already faced so much in his short life. Born in February, he is completely deaf and suffers from painful rodent ulcers—sores on his lips and mouth that make eating and playing hard. Without treatment, these can worsen and greatly impact his life.

Inkjet🩵 also has a heart murmur (he will remain with us for life) and severe food and environmental allergies, requiring a lifelong special diet (Hill’s Prescription Z/D) and daily medications. While this keeps him healthy, his care is expensive.

Since April, Inkjet🩵 has been under the amazing care of WWPH, but his ongoing treatments, prescription food, and vet bills are adding up fast.

While we’ve been hard at work behind the scenes, pouring our energy into rescue efforts, critical cat medical cases, adoptions, kitty transport flights ✈️ and care for so many kitties in need, we’ve fallen behind on sharing these amazing stories with you. Senior kitty Mr. Bones is adopted!!!!

He’s a foster fail, in fact! Mr. Bones was in a dire state as a senior rescue. His fosters in Hawaii nursed him back to health and he was then flown to Boston for the best chance at adoption. He’s so lucky that his Boston foster family has decided to give him his forever home. He doesn’t have to face any more loss or hardship. He only knows love now furever 🧡

We are already drowning in high medical bills. We really need help please 💝

Last July 4, we rescued a small kitten that was abandoned, alone, and crying, stuck in a deep canal. It took 4 days, 4 nights, multiple volunteers, and help from the locals to finally trap the poor lil kitten.
We initially thought he was a male and names him Ninja Turtle because he had lived and survived the underground sewer tunnels.
He was malnourished, dehydrated, sick with a URI, and needed meds and extra TLC from his loving foster family.

Skip ahead about 3.5 months- We discovered Ninja Turtle is a female…😃 So we renamed her Dove 🕊️
She is such a sweet, happy go lucky, affectionate lil girl, who loves to play with other foster kitties and eats/drinks like a champ!
Her foster noticed her back legs were wobbly and she was showing some neurological issues.
She was also starting to develop congestion again, so she went back to Dr Johnson at Waipahu Waikele Pet Hospital.
Dr J diagnosed her with mild CH and another URI.

Mild Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH) in kittens is a neurological condition where the cerebellum is underdeveloped, affecting balance and coordination. It causes wobbly movements and unsteady walking. Although it may look concerning, kittens with mild CH can live happy, healthy lives and adapt well with some extra care and safety measures.

We (RKH) specialize in caring for special needs kitties, including those with physical challenges, neurological conditions, and chronic illnesses. We provide them with the love, care, and support they need to thrive, ensuring every cat has the chance to live a full, happy life regardless of their unique needs.

Sweet lil Dove is already recovering from the URI, and she is doing really well overall.
