Veda is a lovely little polled doe kid with some wonderful genetics and milk production behind her. She is a combination of both our foundation does, AGB AUST Ch First Fleet Karina *Q* ND100 and AGB AUST Ch First Fleet Louise *Q* ND100.
Her dam Thelina Katia Q*2 has milked well on milk test and will qualify for her volume star and her Granddam Thelina Lyanna Q*2 will also. Lyanna has shown very well this season, with 2 Best In Show awards and her son Lycan (Veda's sire) also consistently showing very well this show season, including a AGB Best Buck of Breed and a DGSA Grand Champion Buck award.
If she didn't have 2 full sisters she wouldn't be going anywhere.

Unfortunately I can't keep everyone :(
Luna is such a sweet little doe who is a pleasure to do anything with. She loves people, enjoys the show ring and has been a great junior handler goat for our children.
She is beautifully long, elegant and should mature to be quite a stylish doe with nice teat length and placement. Her dam and older sister are both well accomplished show animals with milk awards and I see no reason why she won't follow suit. This line has proven to be easy breeders with lots of success with AI.
She is well grown and ready to breed this coming season.

DGSA Tasmania Branch Show 2024

Our final show for the 2024 season and what a way to finish! Lyanna completely surpassed my expectations and brought home Best Exhibit and Best Udder, an incredible achievement against very competitive standard does, in particular Wheogo Shamarji who has been outstanding all season.
Thank you to all the team from Dairy Goats Tasmania who organised and set up, our lovely steward Desley Golightly, and the judge Keren Muthsam who travelled all the way from WA to judge for us. Her feedback on our show team was invaluable.

Longford In House AGB Inc. Show

After 3 weekends in a row of shows and 5 rings, we finished on a high on Sunday. Lya decided it was her day to shine, winning Best in Show and Best Udder. Her son Lycan brought home Best Nigerian Dwarf buck. Such a special day to bring home our first homebred BIS and Best Buck.

Many thanks to all the exhibitors, the judges, the stewards and the very special people behind the scenes who make our shows happen, we are very fortunate to have such a great community.

Karina brought home Champion Nigerian Dwarf and Type and 24hr production from the DGSA ring at the Hobart Royal last weekend.
It's a tough gig competing against such beautiful standard dairy goats. But it's so inspiring!
