The super committed Rhys travelled a 5 hour round trip and an overnight stay with the beautiful 7 month old Nala. Both days we trained around reactivity to dogs. A short video showing the type of heelwork that we train for in our sport of IGP. Rogue is Di's young novice dog who is only just starting out on her sporting journey.

Some of you have expressed an interest into our sport of IGP and the disaplines we teach. Here is Rogue our young inexperienced doberman who is doing some tracking training on some extremely dry dirt. This video is a small section of her overall track. We teach the dog to detect the disturbed ground be it on soil or grass and follow each footprint carefully. There are right angle turns along the track and also very small articles which the dog has to indicate by lying down with the article in-between their front legs. Scent training is a fantastic way to enrich a dog by giving their brains a workout and will tire them out better than a long walk. Here at PDT as well as traing and guidance on behavioural issues we offer training in all IGP disaplines be it for sport or just for fun. 🐾

Following on from our last post which showed how reactive Rolo was, here he is behaving well and keeping calm whilst we walk another dog around him. This was at the end of his first 1hr here with us. There is also a video in the comments showing Rolo walking nicely on a loose lead.

Yesterday we had the gorgous Rolo in for a 1 to 1 training session. Rolo's owners were struggling with his reactivity to people and other dogs. This video is when he first arrived at Paragon Dog Training and first met us and one of our dogs. The results from the end of the 1 hr session will be in our next post.

Rocky one of Roxy's pups is staying with us until he is old enough to export to his new home.
