SEEKING DONATIONS OF STONE / LUMBER / BUILDING MATERIALS

Hi! We are looking for donated building items - wooden beams, rail ties, heavy landscaping stones, pavers, etc - for a set of stairs set into a hillside on our new LRA lot.
If you have any of the above laying around, we would be thrilled to take them off your hands and haul them away. Willing to offer free plants in exchange :)
DM us if you can help in any way!

While we do have annuals, veggies and tropicals in stock and it may be enticing to start planting, we recommend waiting. Our average last frost date is April 20th, and if you look at our forecast, temps fluctuate between 34° and 40° at night for the next week. Although this is not a technical frost, most annuals and veggies will not survive (or will be seriously stunted) by these lows. Hanging baskets can be brought inside and pots can be covered with fabric if near the house, but please understand that beds should not be planted until after the risk of frost has passed. We do not accept returns on annuals, tropicals or veggies once plants have left our care.

Start planning your spring garden 🪴🪴🌱🌱

By Bethany Hayes Don’t let your lack of a large garden space deter you from growing fresh vegetables. When you lack garden space, you still have plenty of vertical space. There are plenty of vegetables you can grow vertically in small areas; it’s a win-win idea! Even gardeners with ample garden ...

Welp...it’s officially the end of our outdoor growing season. We got our first hard frost of the year this weekend in the city of St. Louis.
As sad as this end always is, there’s plenty to keep us busy until March - like foraging for autumnal mushrooms. Pictured are a Lion’s Mane (still developing, so we left it for someone else) and Pear Shaped Puffballs.
Both are deliciously edible wild mushrooms that you can only find this time of year.
