Bitsy is still looking for her forever home! 2 years old, around 20lbs, about 20” high at her shoulder. Loves being outside, housebroken, good on a leash! Would do best in a home without cats. She takes a little time to warm up to other dogs, but gets along with my senior pup now. Some happy and some sad news regarding the mice…unfortunately three of them (Maz, Jyn, Qi’ra) got a bacterial infection in their ears, which we’ve been told was from the hoarding situation they were rescued from. Even with meds and a lot of effort on my part, WHS vets determined it was the humane thing to euthanize them since they weren’t getting better and only getting worse. But on a brighter note, Padme hasn’t shown any signs of infection, and being the only remaining one of the 4, now has a permanent home with me. I’ll put her in with her other 2 sisters I adopted (Fennec/Ahsoka) once I’m sure everyone is healthy. ❤️

Bitsy is feeling great and is loving all this snow! Every time we go outside she HAS to roll in it, lay on her back for awhile, or bury her head in a snow drift 🤣 ⛄️

Bitsy had a great night! Slept soundly, no accidents, met my dog and cat and has decided they’re ok. Even though she isn’t feeling the greatest, she still has a super sweet demeanor!

🚨New Foster Alert 🚨
Meet Bitsy! She is 2 years old, about 20lbs, and is with me for a month while she recovers from heartworm. She’s a lil sleepy today, so we’ll learn more about her personality as she starts feeling better 🐾

Just a sleepy Sunday in our household. The kids are getting bigger every week and I’ve been finding them sleeping all over the tank since they don’t all fit inside the hut together anymore

The babies keep growing! Took them in for a check up and the big gender reveal(s)…4 were confirmed boys…the other 8 are “probably girls” 🤣 The 4 boys are going up for adoption at WHS, and the 8 + mom came back home with me, to hopefully do a “for sure” gender reveal for the rest of them next week 😅

The fam upgraded their digs this weekend…so much room for activities! Gus Gus enjoys the space to hide out from the kids too 🤣

Gus Gus cannot WAIT for these kids to just leave her alone 🤣 The babies have all started to “share” moms food dish, and have figured out the water bottle too. They will be weaned this next week and taken in for a vet check before they will be available for adoption!

Officially 2 weeks old…alllll the eyeballs are open, which means…the babies are everywhere 🤣 Poor Gus Gus has no where to hide now

Gus Gus is doing great! She has been eating a ton, working out, and somehow keeping up with 12 mouths to feed 😅 She has accepted occasional pets, so I think once the babies are a little bigger, she would also be open to more handling and getting some baby free time outside the tank 🐾

The babies turned 1 week old on 1/3/23 and are about double their birth size. Eyes are still closed, so they have occasionally gotten lost outside the cave if their mom accidentally drags them out 😅. Also did a full headcount today, and to my surprise…there are 12 pups, not 10 😳

Gus Gus and crew have been settling in well! For only being 4 months old, Gus Gus seems to be a natural at the whole mothering thing. She’s very protective of her pups, but curious whenever I check on her or add food. Can’t wait to watch the pups grow!

My fosters in review for 2022…it was a little different year than in the past. Had some longer term tenants, so it cut back on how many I could take in, but it didn’t matter because we got them all to their forever homes! 🐾 Houdini, Helium, Silicone, Strauss, Shandy, & Cookie

Guess who just got adopted! Cookie went home with a 6 year old, and will be her first pet. Mom and dad have experience with guinea pigs, and Cookie seemed comfortable with all involved. The little girl was so excited and couldn’t wait to pick a name 🐾
