Raven is a 1-2 year old female, Pit Bull Mix that was found as a stray and taken to a local shelter. Our rescue pulled her and took her into a foster home. Raven is good with other dogs and loves to play rough. She seems to be timid around cats while she's figuring out what they are all about. We think she probably found food with some feral cats and learned some manners while on the street. Raven is super sweet and loves everyone she meets.

Raven is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative. Applicants must live within 60 min of Hamilton, NJ to be considered. A vet check will be conducted for each application and a solid vet history for current and past pets will be verified.

If you would like to meet RAVEN, or for more information, please email [email protected]

Gravy is a 3-4 year old Pit Mix that was surrendered to us recently. Gravy hasn't had the best luck in her life thus far due to no fault of her own. Gravy was first surrendered to a Philadelphia shelter sometime ago when her owner was moving and couldn't take her. She got sick in the shelter and went to a foster home who helped her get well again. Gravy was adopted shortly after. A few weeks in, her new pawrents realized that their young daughter was allergic to Gravy, so she ended up being returned to the shelter. Most recently, Gravy was adopted from the same shelter in December 2022 by a man who wasn't really supposed to have a dog at his apartment. Flash forward to now and Gravy's owner faced eviction for having her and had to give her up. Thankfully his family reached out to a volunteer with PRM and Gravy is now with us and ready for a real forever home.

Now that you've heard her past let's tell you about how sweet Gravy is! Gravy loves people. She greets everyone happily. She even leans on you for more pets within seconds of meeting. She's about 70 lbs but she doesn't know it! She has lived with children and does well with them. Gravy would love a home with another active and playful dog. Gravy LOVES to play with other similarly sized dogs! She doesn’t always look like the best greeter, but she immediately wants to play when she sees a new dog. When meeting cats, she was interested (not aggressive) but would probably need some additional socialization to live with cats. We think if she had another dog to distract her, she wouldn’t care much about the cat. Gravy is house trained, crate trained and will ring a bell on the door or grab her leash (if she has access to it) if she has to go outside. She is a cuddle bug who loves bones, relaxing in the sun and being with her people. Gravy is spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped.

Winni is a 1-2 year old Pit Bull/Boxer Mix that came into a local shelter as a stray. Our rescue pulled her and she's now loving life in her foster home. Winni is great with other dogs and loves to rough play. She is super silly and will run with her housemate while both holding the same stick in their mouths. She is overly playful with cats but is currently working on that in her foster home.

Winni is house trained and crate trained. She pulls on leash but does settle in as the walk goes on. She's very curious and wants to sniff everything so that slows her down, too. Winni loves kids and is great with every person she's met. She loves to snuggle her foster mom and even lays in her lap while chewing her favorite bones.

Winni is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative. Applicants must live within 60 min of Hamilton, NJ to be considered. A vet check will be conducted for each application and a solid vet history for current and past pets will be verified.

If you would like to meet WINNI, or for more information, please email [email protected]

Chewy is an 8 year old, male Yorkie & Brooklyn is a 9 year old, female Jack Russell Mix. They were surrendered when their owner could no longer keep them. Chewy and Brooklyn have lived together their whole lives. Chewy is very sweet and would do best in a home without cats. He can live with other dogs, but will need a proper introduction. Chewy is a finicky eater but loves Cesar brand wet food. He turns his nose to most other foods, including some human foods. Brooklyn eats anything you give her. She is overweight and needs to shed some pounds to be a healthy weight, but she has already lost about 6lbs in her foster home and doing so great! She can be a little barky, but settles down after she let’s others know she’s there and she sees them. She seems to be good with cats and dogs, but is protective of her food with other animals. She is great with people.

They are house trained and will also use p*e pads if they are made available to them. They are crate trained, but do well when left in the house as well. Both Chewy and Brooklyn are neutered/spayed, up to date with vaccinations, heartworm and lymes negative and microchipped.

All of these dogs have been living in the Hamilton Animal Shelter for more than ONE YEAR! Our small, municipal shelter has been over capacity for 232 days so far this year. This is 71% of the year that we have been over capacity! 😱 These pups need you! We need you! Shelters across the region have been struggling every day to keep up and we're no different. Adoptions are beyond low, the lowest they've been as far as anyone can recall. Incoming animals are at an all time high. Something's got to give. Please help. Please share. Please adopt.

Everyone give a warm welcome to Mercy 😇 Mercy is a two year old female shepherd who found herself miserable in an overcrowded shelter as we see very often nowadays with constant surrender situations.

Mercy would do best as an only pet in a house with older children. She’s a playful, loving girl, but the kennel environment has been dimming her light a little bit.

Help us find Mercy her perfect match! 🐾🤍🤞🏻
