I just received the email congratulating his win in the South Cental Region!

We received an email from TICA today,

Dear Nancy,

I am pleased to inform you that Sitka of TEXASTOPAZ is the 2023 SECOND BEST SCOTTISH STRAIGHT KITTEN OF THE YEAR in the South Central Region for the 2022 - 2023 show season.

We've also been invited to the awards banquet in Denver August 12th.

Sitka went to his first show in Corpus Christi, Texas January 6th - 8th 2023
He participated in
11 Shows in the Kitten Class.
He was awarded
11 Best of Division 🥇and
11 Best of Color 🥇and made 1 final where he was awarded 9th Best Kitten.

Sitka had his 2nd well kitten check up today. Everyone at the Vet Clinic fell in love with him.
We stopped by the fountain ⛲️ at Schreiner One on the way home to snap a couple of new photos of him.
Sitka said the water in the fountain was very noisy. It scared him a little but he managed to humor me while I took a few pics.
By the end he was completely over it and crying to be picked back up.
He was happy once he was back in my arms.
He's a Mama's boy but I'm not complaining. Love him to bits.

Sitka arrived in Texas safe and sound on Monday morning.
He did well on his journey and says he was more than ready for that long adventure to be over.

This handsome little prince will be making his way to Texas this weekend!

I've decided to call him Sitka.
It's a fir tree that grows in the Pacific North West and a character from the movie Brother Bear.

I'm so happy with the way he is turning out!
It's not easy picking babies that you hope MAY turn out the way you dreamed.
So far this little King is looking just like his incredibly gorgeous Papa.

Thank you Kathryn at Tsumani Cats for this handsome boy and all of the wonderful photos.
I am so excited to get to bond with him very soon!!!

We are getting a beautiful silver black chinchilla kitten from an awesome Cattery in British Columbia.
We are so thankful to Tsunami Cats 🌊 for entrusting us with the offspring from their gorgeous Khal and Daria.
