More exciting news. Debbie and Sasha will be arriving 2 weeks after Sorin and Ronnie 👏👏

Debbie will be going to Anita and Sasha to Jacky.

The pictures make Debbie look quite big but we have been told she is only 10kg! This beauty is about 3 years old and was found as a puppy when her and 2 siblings were dumped in a box outside the shelter on a freezing Winter night 😪. Thankfully they were found by the rescuer.

Sasha was found in a field about 4 years ago with her puppy. They were both so scared that it took many hours for the rescuer to catch them. She is now about 5 and said to be a little shy but very sweet natured and gentle.

They have both lived in the shelter since they were rescued and both really deserve a cosy forever home of their own.

We normally only take one dog at a time each, but the preparation takes longer now, so we decided to take 2 as we really want to help as many as we can. Every dog we take makes a space for the rescuers to save another 🙏🙏.

A little video from yesterdays walk at Chorleywood. I only had two of mine. Jacky brought her three … and Riley. Riley was one of my North African foster dogs (as was her Rani) and he was adopted by her brother. He often joins us on our walks while Gary is at work. So many of those present are lovely older dogs. I find the oldies really quite special ❤️

Meet Sorin and Ronnie who will be arriving at the end of the month. Sorin will be going to Anita and Ronnie to Jacky 👏👏

It has seemed like a long wait, but we never dare to announce new dogs until they have undergone all of their checks and tests.

Sorin, thought to be about 3 years old, was dumped outside a kill shelter starved and close to death and Ronnie, thought to be about 7 years old, was being pelted with stones by people because he was hungry and begging for food at a cafe 😥😥.

Whilst it is nice to spend a bit of time with our own dogs, we cannot wait to get back to what we love doing.....fostering and finding forever homes for dogs like Sorin and Ronnie who so deserve a happy ending 🥰🥰.

So after 16 months as a foster dog, Jack has officially joined Rani and Weston as one of my canine family!

Most people in dog rescue will end up adopting a dog not because they have chosen it, but because the dog needs them and this is the case with Jack.

He trusts me completely and he loves Anita, but the rest of the human population is viewed somewhere between deep mistrust and sheer terror 😨. Sadly this makes him unhomable 😪.

Jack may lack bravery, brains and beauty and he is a bit of a clumsy oaf 🤦‍♀️, but he can be quite the comedian and has a kind heart and a gentle soul 🤗.

I am not sure what I would do if he ever needed Veterinary attention as he is untouchable by anyone other than myself and Anita, but I cannot worry about what if and maybe.

All that matters is that Jack came to the UK with the promise of a better life and we intend to fulfil that promise 😊.

Here he is on his walk today and I think you will agree that he is very happy chap 🥰🥰.

Golly … I’m getting worse! Forgot to post yesterday .. and this could be one of the dullest videos for ages!

All foster dogs have gone off happily to their new homes and now there’s a bit of a hiatus while we wait for the next ones, which is quite unusual.

Our homes are quieter than we’re used to, as are our walks. I guess it’s quite restful at home (there are two more at my home that aren’t here) but I’m feeling a bit redundant!

Happy 7th gotcha day to my beautiful Rani.

She touched my heart and soul the moment I met her and she continues to do so every single day.

Sometimes our own dogs miss out because we have to focus on the foster dogs, but I always try to make time for one to ones with my Rani who is the very reason I am one half of Zaks legacy ❤️❤️.

AT LAST!!!!!

Yesterday it was my great pleasure to deliver my fabulous Cole/Cody to his forever home! After all he’s been through I just couldn’t be happier for him .. Pauline … thankyou so much for loving him as much as he deserves. I have no doubt that your relationship will be stronger day by day ❤️

He is already adored by her grandson too ..

This morning I got his food bowl out for his breakfast .. but now there are only 4! Silly me, but it has been a long time coming …

Handsome one eyed Teddy has been adopted 🥳👏👏

Teddy was with us for quite a while because of a few little anxieties which meant he needed a special adopter.

His main worry was some men, so when a good friend of mine fell for him and wanted to adopt, we suggested a foster with a view to adopt to ensure he settled with the husband.

This is not something we would normally do, but these were special circumstances.

Teddy has settled so very well and he loves them both, a feeling which is completely reciprocated. Cheeky lad has been climbing on the sofa at night and then looking all innocent in the morning, but the tell-tale signs are the tufts of thick hair left behind 😂😂.

We are both absolutely delighted for Teddy because he really deserved a forever home of his own after such a horrible life in Romania 🥰🥰.

This weekend, we are celebrating 2 forever homes 🥳🥳:

Shaki was with me for some time and stole a little piece of my heart, but we are absolutely delighted this sweet and slightly cheeky girl has found her perfect adopter 🥰 . This little sun worshipper is busy rearranging her bed to take full advantage of the sunshine 🌞

Gracie or Lacie as she is now called was lucky enough to find her adopter very quickly and we just know she will be adored and will provide much love and fun 😊. When it came to delivery photo time, she was fast asleep and completely relaxed 🥰.
