WINDSOR'S LOLA IS A SERIOUS LITTLE CUITE! ❤

Lola was a stray who was never claimed, so now she is up for adoption so she can find a proper forever family! She has a lot of energy — but then she's a puppy, so that's no surprise. They thinks she's just 11 or 12 months old! She's also very friendly and she seems interested in playing with other dogs. 😊

If you might be interested in becoming Lola's new family, please fill out the application form! https://www.jotform.com/form/232426158492156
. If you have questions or you'd like to meet here, please email [email protected] or call (860) 688-5273!

WALLINGFORD'S VIOLET BEAUREGARD NEEDS A WONDERFUL HOME. ❤

She's just a Pittie puppy, but what an amazing little gal! 😊

•If she were a color, she’d be hot neon pink — bright and dynamic
•If she were another animal, she’d be a hippopotamus — making short work of a whole watermelon (chomp, chomp!) and not really the most gentle or graceful at playing with others!
•If she were a song, she’d be Real Wild Child — but probably the Joan Jett version. Pretty self explanatory!
•If she were a food, she’d be the spiciest little meatball. Buon appetito!
•If she were a vehicle, she’d be a dirt bike; compact, zippy, great on rugged terrain, and very likely to end up covered in mud!
• And If she were a yearbook superlative, she’d be a class clown; always playing, always goofing off, never takes herself too seriously.
In all seriousness, 5-6 month old Vi B. is a super smart and very energetic little bean who will be happiest with an active, engaging lifestyle. Granted she is tennis ball obsessed, a few rounds of fetch or a romp in a fenced yard won’t be near enough for this pup! However, if you’re looking for companion to regularly explore, run, hike, or bike with, that’s way more her speed! She’s a total sponge when it comes to learning commands and tricks and games, and she does so with ease. Get this gal into a puppy class and she’ll be the top student, guaranteed! 😉

And after spending time in a mixed species foster home, we very strongly feel that Violet should probably be an only pet. While she may do well having play dates with similar sized or larger, tolerant dog friends who can match her energy level and play style, it’s likely best for her to live as the only dog in the home. We do not recommend she live with cats or small animals. 😉

Are you going gaga for this lady? Double dog dare ya to fill out an adoption application, and let’s get the ball rolling (so Violet can chase it!) Just email the Wallingford Shelter at [email protected] or call 203-294-2180! (Y)

MEET ICEMAN — WOODBRIDGE'S NEWEST ADOPTABLE! ^_&

A gorgeous 2 year old male Husky, Iceman is super sweet and loves to give hugs. He has a goodly amount of energy so would benefit from a fenced yard. Iceman is good with kids, men, women, and other dogs. He does not respond to cats in the cat room but we do not know if he has ever been in a house with cats.

Ice is already neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is tick disease and heartworm negative. He is very treat motivated and knows basic commands. The shelter believes he is house trained.

Want more information on his stunning boy? Just call Woodbridge Animal Control at (203)389-5991 Monday-Saturday 10am-3pm. If interested in giving Iceman an active home, please fill out the application link below. (Reduced adoption fee to best home.)

UPDATE: Adopted

The phoenix is a mythical golden bird associated with renewal and regeneration. Rising from the ashes of its previous life, the phoenix is a symbol of hope, of life, and of better things to come...

Our Phoenix is a vibrant little lady who is very much in the PRESENT, enjoying every moment of the day. She's happy to engage in active play with a laser or wand toy but is also perfectly content to nap in the sunlight or spend time cuddling up on the sofa while you read or watch tv. Phoenix has silky gray fur and loves being brushed. Shealso has kind, inquisitive eyes that belie a sweet and trusting soul. She would be a
wonderful addition to ANY family.

One year-old Phoenix joined her foster family after spending the previous eight weeks caring for her newborn kittens. She settled right in with her foster parents and has proven to be both a momma's girl AND a daddy's girl. Within a few days, Phoenix made
it clear that she was ready to meet the three feline members in the household and was “in the mix" within a few days.

Looking for a cat who gets along with other cats? Check! Are openness and adaptability qualities that you're looking for! Check! If "lap cat" is also high on your list, Phoenix is your girl and would be happy to be your one and only. For those who want a “friendly" cat, Phoenix is always eager to meet new people and greets them with grace, charm, and warmth.

To know Phoenix is to love her, and to be the recipient of her love is a pure joy.
To find out more or to make a special appointment to meet our available cats and kittens, please fill out the application at www.POAinc.org. If you already have an approved application, you can simply email [email protected]

MICHAEL AND MIKE — BONDED BROTHERS AT THE ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY! ❤ THEY ARE A SHEPHERD/BEAGLE MIX AND LOVELY! ❤

Michael is a sweet mix from Puerto Rico, who came in with his brother Mike. We estimate he's about 6 years old and weighs 40 pounds. Michael is more outgoing than his Mike, but is definitely shy with new people and takes a little while to warm up. Once he gets to know you though, you'll be greeted with a huge, goofy smile, wiggling body and wagging tail. He loves running around outside playing with Mike, so we're looking for a home where they'll be adopted together to help them feel more comfortable. Michael will need some socialization and obedience training, but he already walks well on a leash. 😊

WINDHAM'S "MOPAR" IS AS HANDSOME AS HE IS FRIENDLY! 😊

Mopar is a gorgeous adult Rottie/German Shepherd Dog mix — and a big boy!
Friendly, loyal, playful, smart, protective, funny, and brave. He is also house trained. And he would prefer a home without kids. Mopar takes a while to warm up to new people — yet easy to win over by playing fetch. 😉

Mopar loves swimming and the outdoors. He knows basic commands and is a easy walker. He's a very confident dog seeking a confident owner. Mopar likes his personal boundaries respected. ❤

If you want more information about this stunning boy, just email the Windham Shelter at [email protected] or call 860-465-3087 for an adoption application.

💥Rocko is home safe!💥
Rocko showed up on camera at his home at 2:32 AM! His owner Amanda had food inside the porch. He pushed the screen door open and trapped himself in! This boy was seen on the highway twice, which was terrifying, and then finally showed up in a yard that we found out he had been to previously. The trap was moved to this house hoping he would go in quickly. Of course, he finally figured out how to get back home and trapped himself!! Thank you to Rocko‘s owner Amanda who was tremendously dedicated and worked very hard to get him home. Thank you too her landlord Scott for helping her move the trap so quickly, to Sarah for allowing us to set a food station, to the homeowner Jess who allowed the trap and to all the people in the community that called in sightings. Thank you to CTDGRV Sharon for putting up posters, setting cameras, setting a trap, and working diligently alongside the owner every step of the way! Welcome home, Rocko! You had us a very worried!

Lost in Killingly!
Please keep eyes open on Rte 12 North Main Street!
This handsome boy pulled out of his collar and ran off. He is friendly but skittish. Please call in sightings immediately to the number on the flyer. He is new to the area and will run.

UPDATE: Adopted

Good golly, Miss Molly!

Seven month old Molly is absolutely stunning! A pastel tortie, Molly has the most amazing coloring and bright, beautiful eyes. Molly is also soft as cashmere.

And Molly has none of the “tortitude” that you sometimes hear about. While torties are supposedly feisty, Molly is gentle. In fact, Molly is actually a little timid. Approach her condo with a toy and she will be front and center, looking for all the world like she’s ready to hop out and play. But when you open the door she turns shy. She steps back. Suddenly she isn’t sure that she’s ready for the big world out there.

Found as a stray, it is pretty clear that Molly has had a lot of uncertainty in her short life. She wants to be brave and she can be. But she is looking for someone to reassure her. Someone who will cheer her on, who will cuddle her and tell her to tell her it’s fine to wait until she’s ready, and will celebrate every tiny victory with her and for her.

If you think you are ready for that role, please fill out the application at www.poainc.org and make an appointment to meet our available cats. If you already have an approved application, you can simply email [email protected]. And don’t forget to spread the word about Molly.
