The day after my rescue and the day after my life-saving surgery.

The doctors said they could not believe I had survived for this long without veterinary care. My wounds were very deep and infected, and as you can see I needed many stitches after the infected tissue was removed and my neck was sown back together.

I spent many weeks in hospital being monitored, with infection being the biggest risk to my recovery.

Not many humans would do all this for a pig, so I am very fortunate that I’d found myself with the people I did.

Two years ago today, my life changed forever.

I had been attacked by people who I thought were my friends. What I didn’t know was that their intention all along was to kill me and eat me.

I managed to get away - I ran as fast as I could and hid from them for two long weeks. I was bleeding and in a lot of pain from the stab wounds they inflicted on my neck.

Finally after 2 weeks, some good people found me and rushed me to a hospital to receive lifesaving surgery. For that, I am grateful.

Please don’t eat pigs like me. We don’t want to die for the sake of tradition or an unnecessary meal.

Please choose kindness this Christmas and every day. Let’s all work together to make the world a better place.

Hello, everybody.

There’s no easy way to say this, but the day we all wished would never come has arrived. Esther has passed away. She was calm and peaceful, and fell asleep with her dad Steve by her side.

While we understand many of you will have questions, and we will have the answers for you , but we are going to take a little break to process the situation.

Even though Esther is no longer physically with us, her memory and legacy will live forever. Esther is immortal, and we will continue to show the world that all animals deserve to be loved just like she was.

Sending love and happy thoughts to each and every one of you. We know you all loved her just as much as we did, and we thank you for that.

Finally, a small victory for the pigs. Did it really have to get to this before people realised what’s going on and for them to stop doing the wrong thing?

Australian Food Group Slaughterhouse shuts down following our exposé of their horrific gas chambers!

We can now reveal that AFG slaughterhouse has decided to shut down its operations after being ordered to install CCTV inside their gas chambers by government regulator PrimeSafe, upon reviewing footage provided by us.

Our founding director, Chris Delforce, spent almost ten hours hidden inside the gas chamber at this slaughterhouse filming the agonising final moments of hundreds of pigs. He says that while the facility's decision to shut its doors rather than install CCTV is "typical" of an industry that relies on secrecy and deception, it's also "a massive win for pigs."

I was horrified to see pigs just like me writhe in agony, desperate to breathe as they were lowered into a co2 gas chamber to suffocate while their eyes and lungs burn.

This is standard industry practise across Australia

I hope that within
capacity as Minister for Agriculture WA they will stand up for the well-being of animals and support a ban.

This week marks one year since my rescue.

Some of you may remember when pictures were circulating on Facebook of a pig with serious neck injuries roaming the streets of a Perth suburb. A human had tried to kill me by stabbing me in the neck multiple times in preparation for his Christmas dinner.

Somehow I survived and for two weeks I hid from humans suffering terribly from hunger, heat stress, pain and fear.

I was lucky that some good people came to help me and rushed me to emergency. Everybody was astonished that I was still alive - that I had not succumb to infection or starvation.

The next few weeks and months were challenging. My body was broken and my wounds were significant. My scars are still visible to this day.

I don’t understand why someone who I thought was my friend would try to kill me and eat me for the sake of a 5 minute meal, a so-called tradition. All I know is that I didn’t want to die, and I’m glad to be here today with my bestest friends Kevin and Renee.

This Christmas, please consider leaving pigs off your table. We are the third most intelligent creature in the world and we have strong wills to live and enjoy life. With so many kinder choices to choose from, please choose kindness and compassion this Christmas.

It is my only wish 💫 peace begins on your plate.
