Around the 4th of July, I stayed with Boone, Remus, Georgia, and Sq**rt! I stay with these pups every year and absolutely LOVE THEM! They all love to be as close as physically possible to me in bed 😴

This past May/ June, I took a cross county road trip with sweet Mr. Bates. Bates came all the way from NEW MEXICO to meet his cousin, Toby! They became the bestest friends!
Toby’s cousins, Bella, Remus, Dobby (not pictured), and Winkie (not pictured) didn’t get to make the trip but sent lots of love to Toby through Bates!
This is an adventure dog if I’ve ever seen one!

Good morning!

Let’s talk about your options when leaving your pet at home when you go away. This is a long post so hang in there!

Two options are to either board your pet at a facility or have an in home pet sitter stay with them — but what’s the difference?

For some dogs, staying at a boarding facility is great! Those dogs are most likely very sociable, enjoy being around other dogs, and are confident in new places or situations. These dogs are typically okay being left in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people.

However, there are dogs who are not comfortable being around other dogs constantly and get very stressed by it. These dogs could have certain aggression issues, anxiety, medial issues, are senior, or not socialized well with other dogs. Not all dogs are fit to be in a boarding facility. Not to mention, some dog owners aren’t comfortable leaving their pets with unfamiliar people.

If a boarding facility isn’t a good fit for your dog, having a pet sitter come into your home to stay with your fur babies could be the best option. It alleviates some stress for the dog and, in turn, you.

Also, having a pet sitter allows for more personalized care, especially if you have young dogs that need lots of exercise or senior dogs with different medication needs.

I know that I will love your pet as if it were my own when I stay with them. At a boarding facility, the employees have other animals to attend to and your pet might not get the attention they need. I keep my costs low (lower than most boarding facilities) so that you and your pet can afford the comfort of at-home care they deserve.
