"I don't usually write reviews for products, but this grinder has changed my cats' nail care profoundly. It is quiet, easy to hold, and the guard is a game changer for me. I have an older cat and a younger one. The older one used to literally tremble with fear when I would grind his nails because I would sometimes accidentally grind his toe pads, but now he and I are both calmer because the guard prevents me from accidentally hurting his pads. It is helpful to have two holes in the guard because it gives me good flexibility and easy access to each nail, so I don't have to worry about how I'm holding the grinder. I now feel safe and confident grinding both cats' nails. I only wish I hadn't waited so long to buy this!" - James K. (Chicago)

"My first thought was "Go for the dremel!" but I watched some review videos and I wasn't sold. I checked out about 5 different model and finally decided to give this one a shot. This one's on the lower end of price but does what it says. It's a nightmare to cut my dog's nails as he is older and a big chicken. I thought I would have to ease him into letting me grind his nails but the experience was much better than expected. The machine is very quiet and has only 1 speed setting but it did the job like a champion. It did such a good job I was able to get all his nails groomed in 1 sitting. It takes a little getting used to, i recommend starting with light dabs to get a feel for how much pressure you need to apply. Make sure to hold the dog's paw around the claw so it does not get pushed back into the paw. Start at an angle and work your way aroung the claw stripping layers a bit at a time. Don't worry too much about getting the claw caught, it happened to me on a few attempts but the motor stopped and the dog didn't feel any discomfort. The plastic edges prevented the claw going too far in."

"This is an excellent nail grinder! The price was really reasonable when I was first looking for one and this is nice and compact looking and lightweight. There is a guard near the grinder to prevent the nail bed getting caught in the grinder. My boxer is a nut about her nails no matter who or what is used. With this, I was able to grind them down fairly quickly and easily without worrying so much about how far I'm clipping of her nail as I have her in a full Nelson" - Lukas M. (New York)
