The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (“Maizy”)
Maizy is a newly certified Pet Therapy Dog. She will have office hours at Tufts Medical Center and the Floating Hospital for Children in Boston, Massachusetts. Maizy and her mom, Kyle will reprise the successes of Maizy’s predecessor, Albert Weinstein who provided similar services to the kids in the Floating Hospital and the men and women in the Cardiomyopathy unit at Tufts Medical Center. These visits provide a needed diversion from being a patient in a hospital setting. The patients enjoy the visit, the tricks Maizy does and the friendship that develops over time. Kyle and Maizy get a lot from these visits as well. Their service as volunteers gives them a strong sense of purpose, as they provide some level of comfort to the patients and families they meet.
