We’re currently now closed for the rest of the month as I’m going on holiday at the weekend!! I will sometimes come onto instagram, but I won’t actively be monitoring this page during the 2 weeks we are away as we will likely have limited internet access.

I’m going to aim to reopen on either 1st or 2nd October - this will be confirmed on my stories. We will likely be opening first just with forage, and then I’m planning a week later restocking treats, but again - I’ll update everyone closer to the time!

I hope everyone has a great September, and we’ll be back soon!!

Weekly Rabbit Facts - Week 14!

Trancing:

Trancing can be so dangerous to bunnies! Unfortunately not everybody knows the dangers of trancing and sometimes do it accidentally whilst they are cuddling their bunnies.

I’ve attached some more information in the photos to show what trancing is and the dangers of doing it. Please make sure you don’t do it whilst cuddling or grooming your bun!❤️

Weekly Rabbit Facts - Week 13!

This week we are talking about the importance of nail clipping!

Rabbits nails constantly grow, and they need to be regularly checked to make sure they’re not becoming too long and uncomfortable for the rabbit.

It’s not too difficult to cut your pets claws at home, but if you are unsure I would recommend booking in with your rabbit savvy vet to get them checked over!❤️

Weekly Rabbit Facts - Week 11!

This week is all about hay!
Hay is SO important for your bunnies, it should make up over 80% of your rabbits diet!

My bunnies all time favourite hay is Timothy hay from .club, but they also enjoyed their taster hay from and their hay pellets from !

If you’re looking to change your bunnies hay, I would recommend getting sample packs from different shops and seeing which brands and types of hay your rabbits prefer!

Neutering is so important for a rabbit, weather you have a long bunny or a group of bunnies it’s important to get them all neutered.

It can prevent accidental litters, health problems and territorial behaviour!

Weekly Rabbit Facts - Week 8!

Weather!

The UK has had some pretty severe weather over the last couple of days, and even though we’re heading into spring it can still get quite chilly in the evenings and though the night.

It’s so important to make sure your bunnies and all animals, especially ones who live outside, are kept warm and protected during these times!

Pet Friendly Heat Pads are a great way to keep your pets warm, and do some lovely covers for them (as well as other lovely bedding!).

Weekly Rabbit Fact - Week 7!

Moulting!!

I’m sure all of us rabbit parents feel like our babies are moulting all of the time!!

It’s so important to groom your buns, and any pets! It will make them feel so much better and help them to ingest less fur which could lead to blockages.

The comb I use for my buns, is the Hair Buster Comb, it’s nice and gentle and removes so much fluff which you can see from the pictures!!❤️

Weekly Rabbit Fact - Week 6!

Litter training!! Some people find litter training harder than others. Personally my two bunnies were very easy to litter train, as they picked an area and stuck with it. They do sometimes p**p out of their toilet, but I don’t personally mind this they’re easier to clean up than a wee!

People often say it’s easier to litter train once a rabbit is neutered, which is another reason to neuter your bunny if it’s not already!❤️

Weekly Rabbit Facts - Week 5!

The health of any animal is SO important. Bunnies are such complex animals, and because they are pray animals they don’t show signs of illness until they are in a critical condition.

As mentioned on our last rabbit facts post, it is so important to make sure your rabbit is registered to a rabbit savvy vet, and if you are worried about them even in the slightest - get them seen to right away!

Becky’s Bunny Bakery is reopening on 1st February 2022!✨

It feels like such a long time coming, but we are finally reopening on the first of February - which is only 4 days away!🎉

It’s likely when we first open it will just be our core range of treats, but we will be adding forage and seasonal treats along the way!!

I may even try and squeeze in a little valentines range; what would everyone like to see in it?!

Weekly Rabbit Facts - Week 4!

The health of any pet is the number one priority. Along with their diet, it is so important to make sure your rabbits are vaccinated.

I’d highly advise using a rabbit savvy vet, if you wanted to find one near you, check out website as they are all listed on there!

I believe most vets are now giving out single vaccinations that protect against RHD 1, 2 and Myxomatosis which means less stress on your bunny - win win!!🤍

Housing!!🏡

It is SO important to make sure your rabbits are housed correctly! They need much more space than most people think.

My bunnies are free roam, they currently have their own room which is full of tunnels, hides and enrichment toys ❤️

If you don’t have room inside, there are great ideas on how to house bunnies outside! & both have great outside set ups to check out❤️

Weekly Rabbit Facts - Week 2!

Along side the main diet of hay, rabbits can enjoy small pieces of fresh fruit and vegetables. Make sure not to feed too many in one sitting or you could make them poorly.

The have a list of safe fruits and vegetables for bunnies!!

Be sure to introduce any new food slowly, as bunnies have very sensitive tummies ❤️

Weekly Rabbit Facts - Week 1!

Diet is one of the most important welfare points when owning rabbits! They need access to fresh, good quality hay 24/7 which makes up 85% of their overall diet. My bunnies adore .club, I can’t recommend them enough!!

10% of their diet is fresh greens, such as herbs and vegetables.

5% of their diet is pellets. The pellets I recommend are - my bunnies absolutely love them and they are full of good ingredients for them🥰

Last year, advent calendars were highly requested, so this year - were doing them!!

There will be 2 different varieties to chose from:

• 1 bunny (one treat per door) £12.00
• 2 bunnies (two treats per door) £15.00

Treats inside the calendars will be a mix of new seasonal flavours & our current ranges.

These will be available to pre order, with them being posted around the middle of November to insure they arrive with enough time for 1st December!!

Preorders will initially be done via direct message, so drop us a message to pre order yours!! Payment will be taken via bank transfer, or PayPay🎄

Postage cost will be an extra £3 per order on top of the calendar price.

Our rose flavoured and topped treats were once part of our limited edition spring flowers range, but they were so popular we’re bringing them back!🤍
