The winter storm blew itself out sometime in the wee hours of the morning and left us with a cold and clear morning. Our temperature is 22°F, which feels positively balmy after the subzero temperatures of a few days ago. Family begins arriving tomorrow for Christmas. What a wonderful day to be alive. I think I'll bake some cookies.
