After a much needed break due to virus season and being swamped with many other emergency rescue cases, the spay program hopes to continue again soon contingent upon funding. Please message to apply and please be sure that your cat is not at risk for contracting viruses if you message.

Apologies to those who were not notified during the break. The tsunami of messages currently in the inbox will be reviewed and responded to shortly. Pending sponsorships since the last post were also updated on the post.

We've done 76 sterilizations through the program in 3 months! That makes a world of difference for these cats! Let's keep it going, TOGETHER! 🙏😻❤️🎉🎊💃

Please please please, to the extent possible, try to get your cats vaccinated no less than 1 week before the cat will be spayed if you can in order to avoid catching sicknesses other cats may have at the vet clinics. The gov vet (Al Rayyan Veterinary Center on google maps and link/directions in comments) will vaccinate for free if you buy the vaccine vials and a microchip. Tricat vaccine vials cost about 30 riyal and a microchip is about 10 riyal and sold at vet pharmacies on Fourosiya Street. The gov vet is open from Sunday to Thursday from 7am to 1pm. Please also get the cat's temperature checked before vaccinating.

The program will try to create a vaccine fund shortly. Please do message if you need help with this and will try to help as much as possible.

***SEEKING SELFLESS SEPTEMBER SPAY SPONSORS!*** 🙏🙏🙏

If you're tired of seeing sick, dehydrated, starving and run over cats, PLEASE BE A PART OF THE SOLUTION. THE CATS DESPERATELY NEED YOUR HELP NOW!

September 2020 cases/pledges and coverage of August unsponsored cases:

- 4 of Tahmasebi's and 1 of Bilal's female colony cats will be spayed and have been funded in August and included in the August case numbers.
- 7 spays and 3 neuters were carried out and included in the August numbers but are still unsponsored and pledges will go to these first. 4 spays and 3 neuters for Enilegnave Maurin's colony will be sponsored in September by Spay A Day - Doha, Vil, Mohd Al Fayhani and Ratss and Angel and *unsponsored*. The 50 riyal will be carried over. 1 of Anuita Budnykova's females will be sponsored by Schwartz McVeigh and 2 of Correa's females will be sponsored by Winstanley.
- That leaves *6 REMAINING PLEDGE FOR THIS MONTH* for 1 of Thomas's females sponsored by Serafini at AVC Doha - Advanced Vet Center, 2 for Muarifa Balabagan's females (1 sponsored by and Mathieu Garland and the other sponsored by Mohd Al Fayhani) and 2 for Bogs sponsored by Mohd Al Fayhani (sponsored 4 cases this month 😻🙏 - one that went to an unsponsored August spay mentioned above), 1 for Cabaguio Calpo sponsored by an anonymous lady ❤️
- The remaining 8 of 21 cases the program will continue to sterilize this month include 2 females for Mohamad (*2 completed as of Sept 15 (see comments) one sponsored by Arby in November and 1 sponsored by A Spay A Day - Doha in November), 3 females from Jehan (Umm Amthalakum in Arabic script?) and her Doha Jadeeda cats sponsored by an anonymous lady (S. B.) from the 🇺🇸 and 10 for Enilegnave Maurin's HUGE colony (1 sponsored by Spay A Day - Doha in December) hence the *9 unsponsored cases remaining.* 1 case from last month that was still unsponsored was sponsored by Spay A Day - Doha in October.
*WE Still NEED 9 SPONSORS!* :-/
- There are still soooo many cats on the waitlist.
- This post will be updated throughout to reflect new pledges and cases until a new post with updates is made.
- As always, colony cat caregivers will post pics of their sterilized cats in the comments/visitor posts. (Some visitor posts are awaiting approval and the page is being glitchy at the moment. This will shortly be resolved one way or another).
- THANK YOU SOOOOO VERY MUCH TO ALL THE SPONSORS AND CAREGIVERS! You guys rock so hard!!!

Apologies for the super late update as the page had been facing some technical accessibility issues recently but the spaying away has continued even whilst the page couldn't be accessed!

SOOOOOOO many people have reached out for help with spaying. (PLEASE consider sponsoring a case or even a part of a case if you can. Every little bit makes a difference and alleviates their suffering!)

July updates: (17 spays done)
Lenny Segovia's remaining cat from the previous post was spayed. Adjilani was the remaining pledge in the last post and used it for his colony. Two of his friends, Ruds Reyes and James Basa also paid for a cat each from his colony. Thus, all of his females have now been spayed through the program! (Pics in comments). These spays were performed at Petscare Clinics.

A HUGE thanks again to all the July sponsors - Dan Vil, Adina Aruxandei, Mohamad, Saeed, Lina Serafini, Al Meslemani, Ratss, Winstanley, Schwartz McVeigh, Adjilani, Reyes and Basa

05/07/2020

July 1 - 5:
3 of Lenny Segovia's cases were covered by A Spay A Day - Doha, Vil, and Aruxandei. 2 were spayed and 1 has been proving difficult to catch so will be spayed ASAP, hopefully within the next few days! Thotapitiya's colony cat was covered by Mohamad. Another case was covered today by Danish Saeed - Bhatt paid for a colony mom cat that he is fostering for someone and is being reimbursed tonight. 5 cases funded, 4 done, 1 left and will be completed upon catching. *Pics for Lenny's 2 cats, Manjushri's 1 and Kishan's 1 in the comments*

July 6-10: (9 cases to be covered)
Adjilani's will take 1 colony cat to AVC Doha - Advanced Vet Center which is sponsored by Lina Serafini and 4 to Petscare Clinics this week - 4 are pledged to be sponsored by Al-Meslemani. Faria will take 4 five-month-old colony kittens to Petscare Clinics from Wakra - 1 is sponsored by Ratss and the remaining 3 are pledged to be sponsored by Winstanley (2 cats) and Schwartz McVeigh. *Pictures for these cases will be forthcoming*

After this, we have 1 more pledge for the month of July and then we're all out of pledges and funding for the month but have so very many applications. Please share this initiative so we can keep going!

Whilst talking to vets about the program, we were able to enlist the support of Gulf Coast to sponsor one cat spay/neuter inclusive of a 48-hour stay! How awesome is that?! :)

We went ahead and contacted Asharaf as Najat had posted that he had lost his job and needed help spaying his rescue cat. (He is looking for work as an Electrical BIM Modeler). His cat, Braves, was successfully spayed. (Videos of her in the comments).

P.S.: More details re: vet partnerships and info will be forthcoming in the next few days. Thank you all for your overwhelming support!
