ISO: Small Horse or Large Pony for a beginner lesson program.

We are still searching for a new 4 legged friend to add to our program! Absolutely no buck, kick or rear!
We have a small lesson program with mostly kids and do camps throughout the year with kids with zero horse experience. We are looking for a walk, trot and canter horses. Must be sound!

Ideally would like a lease but would be open to a purchase if it's the perfect fit! Budget is low 4's but is flexible if you are open to a lease to own or payment plan. I can provide references.

I am absolutely heartbroken over what has happened in the south. It's so devastating. It's not much but we are planning on making a trip down south with supplies. If anyone would like to donate please reach out!

ISO walk, Trot, intro to canter pony or small horse! 🐴
Have an older horse that's looking to start slowing down? Have a pony just sitting in your field?
Second Star Horsemanship is looking for a pony or small horse that is a walk, trot, intro to canter level horse for Lease. Ideally a care lease or free lease.
Some maintenance is okay and expected but the horse must be sound enough to do a couple lessons a week and possibly an open show here or there.
We also do horse camps so we are looking for a pony that is good with kids without horse experience!

We are located in Guilford, IN (just down the street from Perfect North Slopes)

We still have spots available for our Haunted Hooves Youth Horse Camp! 🎃

🎃 We welcome all levels of horse experience, ages 5 and up!
👻 Saturday-Sunday, October 19th-20th, 10am-4pm
🦇 The campers will learn about grooming, saddling and riding and we will also have crafts and games each day!
🎃 It's $185 for both days.
👻 Costumes are welcomed and encouraged for Sunday!
⚠️Costumes need to be horse safe. No inflatable costumes, or anything with a ton of streamer like pieces. If they are in a dress or shorts they will still need pants for riding.
You can contact me with any questions about their costumes.

⚠️All riders must have a Certified Riding Helmet!! These can be purchased at Tractor Supply, Family Farm and Home, Cox Saddlery, Dover, Equus Now or Bomgaars. You can rent one from us for $10 a day.
They will need long pants or jeans and riding boots (ie paddock boots, cowboy boots, ect.) . No Gym Shoes or rain boots when riding. These Items cannot have bling on them and boots cannot have a zipper on the inside of the leg as this can damage the tack. No baggy shirts, dangling earrings, bracelets or necklaces. They can become entangled in the equipment and may lead to injury. Medical bracelets are allowed but must be secure. You can contact me if you have any questions about proper attire.

Bring a packed lunch for Saturday. Sunday we will have a Pizza Party. Bring a water bottle each day.

$100 non-refundable deposit to hold your campers spot.

We had so much fun during day two and day three of horse camp! Over the weekend we had some kids who had never ridden before, some trot for the first time and even some canter for the first time! We had such a blast getting to know everyone and share our passion for horses!

We had a really fun first day of camp!
We learned all about the care of horses, decorated tshirts, learned about the different parts of a horse with a fun game, painted horses, and got to ride!

I had such a great time at Road to the Horse last weekend. It was such a pleasure meeting so many new people and catching up with old friends.
The competitors all did such an incredible job! There were some truly incredible moments they shared with the horses. This was my first time attending the whole event and I really hope to go again in the future!

Second Star Horsemanship is a small quiet barn located in the hills of Guilford, Indiana.
We also have a trainer on site who specializes in Liberty and Bridleless work, C**t Starting and Problem horses with a show background in many different disciplines. We also bring in different trainers and clinicians for lesson days.

Full care Board is $550 a month.

Full care includes:
• 12x14 stall. Stalls are cleaned daily.
• Grain Am and Pm. We feed Sentinel LS Performance, Sentinel Senior and Safe Choice Special Care
• Free choice salt and minerals
• 1 pump of 100x Equine Gut X.
We also have all 100x Equine products available for a slight upcharge.
• Free choice hay. We feed an Orchard grass mix, Alfalfa/grass mix and Alfalfa hay. Every horse is fed in a slow feeder haynet.
• Turn out everyday weather permitting. We also mares and geldings and in the winter they go out during the day and in the summer they go out at night. We will also give them some time out in the indoor if the weather is nasty out.
• Bell boots put on/Taken off if needed for turnout
• Blankets or fly sheet and fly masks put on/taken off
• Fans in the summer

Amenities include
• 45ft round pen
• 65x90 indoor arena
• 70x120 outdoor arena

Christmas came early for the horses! 🎄🎅
The family helped me spread some Ag Lime in front of the paddock gates and around the hay bins giving them a dry area to stand and enjoy their hay.
