When our clients express their thoughts about our services we're all ears! It's been two years since we officially launched our bespoke dog walking and sitting services - it's been quite the journey! Over the past year, we have made improvement to our services and protocols, whilst keeping our clients and Bark Buddies in mind and in the know. Growth and gratitude are the first two words that come to mind whilst reflecting on our journey so far. As much as the warmth and sunshine can be beautiful for us in London, it can also be a lot, especially for our pups. There are many ways to keep them cool during this heatwave and hear are some hacks! 🐾 1. Keeping them hydrated. It is so important that our dogs have plenty of water during this time. It's great to buy collapsable bowls or a portable water bottle to take on their walks, enabling them to stay as hydrated as possible during their outings. 2. Taking breaks. Our canine friends can't tell us when they need a break. So it's on us to take breaks more frequently than what your dog would on their own. It's vital to have breaks throughout play to keep dogs cool during this heatwave! Every time you take a break with your pooch, it's great to find some shade and also provide some water/treats to keep them as happy and healthy as ever! Taking sufficient breaks with your pup will ensure they don't get heat exhaustion or any other heat-related health issues. 3. Give Frozen Treats or Toys. This a great way to cool your dog down and some popular frozen dog treats your pup is sure to love are: -Pupsicles -Frozen Fruits and Veggies -Frozen Kongs -Pup Ice Cream 4. Exercise at cooler times of the day. It's a great idea to check your weather app on hot days and check when the coolest times to walk your pooch is. In most cases, that'll be in the mornings and evenings. Use those times to give them exercise to prevent them from overheating and potential dehydration. 5. Use a cooling pad. Cooling pads are made from special material to specifically help keep your dog cool on hot days. They're easy to keep in the fridge/freezer and take out for your pooch to lie on and keep as cool as a cucumber!
