What’s one season that seems to be year round anymore? If you work along with small animals, you know that it is kitten season! It’s the season that keeps on giving. Please, if you are finding kittens this season, take responsibility for the ones that you find. Every rescue I know of is full. We are currently bottlefeeding five babies and are NOT a rescue. Desperate times! Also, if you want a cat and the cat distribution system has not given you one, reach out and we can hook you up with multiple rescues and fosters that have babies just waiting for new homes! Once these guys get off the bottle, they’ll be able to go into rescue. Right now we are still doing a combo of bottles and mash. Every day I get more excited because it’s a little less formula and a lot more actual food.  Reach out to your favorite rescue or organization today to give a baby a new home! Or if you are at cat-pacity like I am, lol, reach out to these guys and offer them supplies or funds. Or even just your time to help with anything the rescue might need. Stray cats and kittens is a community problem, let’s make it a community solution! Happy Saturday

If you have any ability to help at all, please consider helping this great organization that does everything in its power for our community strays. This is a community problem, not just a one person problem. If a large number of unneutered cats get released out into the city, it will spread disease and make our kitten population overwhelming! Even just sharing this post will inevitably help. Anything you can will be appreciated!

We just wanted to let our local community know that if you’re missing a black short haired cat in Dunstown area, please call the office. It may be yours. We picked up a cat hit by a car and unfortunately, it was already deceased. She was also not micro chipped. Our phone number is 570-660-7477. Feel free to call if you feel like this is your kitty.

Hello all, we are just letting everyone know that there is a large tree down on the Renovo Road. It’s only about 5-10 minutes towards Renovo from LHU. It’s clear across the entire road so as of now no one can get in or out until they come to cut it up and move it. Drive safe everyone! The wind is wicked out there.!!

As much as I enjoy seeing one of my breeds on the big silver screen, please remember that these are living, breathing, EXPENSIVE, awesome dogs. Don’t just see the glamorous parts and be part of the over breeding problems, which DO occur after movies make breeds popular. Do your research and RESCUE/ADOPT/REHOME if a Dane is something you need in your life. There are MANY breed specific rescues full of beauties that need a second chance. These are amazing dogs. Let’s keep it that way!!

‼️We’ve seen this cycle too many times. People fall in love with the idea of a Dane, but not the reality.

Why Do People Surrender/rehome Great Danes?

🚫 “I didn’t know they got this big!” (They can reach 150-200 lbs!)
🚫 “They eat too much!” (Be ready for a BIG food bill.)
🚫 “Vet bills are expensive!” (Danes are prone to bloat, joint issues, and heart disease.)
🚫 “I don’t have enough space.” (Even couch potatoes need room to stretch out.)
🚫 “I don’t have time for training.” (A poorly trained 150-lb dog = disaster.)
🚫 “They’re too needy!” (Danes are Velcro dogs and hate being alone.)
🚫 “We had a baby/moved/got divorced.” (Dogs are forever, not just when it’s convenient 🙄.)

Thinking About Getting a Dane? Do This First:

✔️ Research the breed thoroughly before making a decision.
✔️ Be financially prepared—Danes are expensive to care for.
✔️ Commit to training and socialization—a well-behaved Dane is a happy Dane.
✔️ Understand their medical risks—bloat, joint issues, and heart problems are common.
✔️ Have the space and time to give them the life they deserve.

Deceased Kitty found between lamar light house camp ground and porter township playground. Neutered male, long haired, grey/brown tabby with white socks. No micro-chip. If this is your kitty or you’re missing a kitty that fits this description please call the office.

Ok guys, I truly believe this was a hand raised rooster. He just allowed us to pick him up to carry him to the clinic. We have him secured, but we are asking again if anyone is missing this guy to contact the office. He is too handsome and nice to get left to the critters!
