The puppy we raise, is the adult we get.
Please don't wait until they grow out of it. They won't.
It's like raising a child that's always allowed to eat whatever they want, whenever they want, never do homework, doesn't have bedtime and will not go to school.

They don't wake up one day and think 'Oh snap, I should start eating healthy, go to bed early, hit the gym and start studying.'
You nurture that from an early age that, that is a healthier lifestyle. You set rules and boundaries since they were teeny tiny.

You HAVE to do the same with dogs.
Repeat after me: They do NOT grow out of it.

We are sorry to report that we found a deceased, black-and-white long haired cat in Dunstown in front of the Raymond’s dentist office. They seemed well fed, and like they were returning home. He seemed to have been hit several hours ago. Please contact the office at 570-660-7477 if this is your kitty.

How, HOW is it still kitten season?? These beauties were brought in by someone who knew they needed more medical treatment than they could give. THANK YOU! They were in desperate need and we think that waiting any longer would only worsen their prognosis. However, they are definitely not out of the woods yet. The trio definitely remain in a dire state. They are infested with fleas and parasites; not to mention maggot infected wounds. As you can see they have been bathed to remove the fleas/maggots and are trying to dry and rest on their heating pad after getting flea/ear mite treatment, dewormed, fluids, force-fed, and antibiotics for the infected wounds. We are posting this as yet another reminder to utilize the TNR/SNAP voucher programs in your county for your feral/outdoor cats. They only cost a bit of time/effort and will save lives. Kittens like these suffer/die unnecessarily because there are simply not enough homes, shelters, rescues, farms, funds, you name it. The system is so full!! If you know you can’t afford a costly surgery (we get it! $ is tight!), there are SOOOOO many cats/kittens in need of good homes that are ALREADY neutered or soon to be!! So yeah, that adoption fee might sound “steep”, but it’s WAY less than all of the vet care that comes with that “free kitten”. Trust us. We are all so sad this kitten season. Save future lives…spay/neuter/TNR…please. We are so worried that if it’s this bad this year…what about next??

STILL NO NEWS!! Please everybody help share this post! We have still not had any hits on this guy. Somebody has to be missing him. 
ATTN ALL: This beagle was found on Cider Press Rd and we are trying to find out who he belongs to. Feel free to call the office and leave a voicemail even though it says we’re closed if you believe this guy is yours. Just a warning, he does NOT belong on Hamburger Lane. The owners on Hamburger Lane have their beagle!

Ok guys, I truly believe this was a hand raised rooster. He just allowed us to pick him up to carry him to the clinic. We have him secured, but we are asking again if anyone is missing this guy to contact the office. He is too handsome and nice to get left to the critters!

UPDATE: We still have this guy and have no leads on his owner. We are really hoping that he has a home and wasn’t dumped.

Don’t forget to factor in the heat for all your pets this summer!! I know they love being out in the nice weather, but the heat and humidity build quickly throughout the day.

Hot temperatures are amongst us. This upcoming week weather is predicting to be above 90 degrees. Pennsylvania has laws to protect animals.

Also, please leave your animals at home. No animal, should be left in any hot vehicle.

If you suspect a violation, please contact your local police authority for your jurisdiction, or call you local Pennsylvania State Police!

Hello all. We just wanted to update the public that another case of parvovirus has been diagnosed in downtown Lock Haven on S Fairview St. At this time, I would make sure that all of your dogs are current on their vaccines. We would also recommend to limit any walking or travel to public places at this time. This is a especially true if you have young puppies. This is a deadly virus!!

Hello Facebook family! We have an Amish breeder that is looking to rehome his one female Akita and his one male Akita. Both are around 5 to 6 years old. The first four pictures are of the female. The last four pictures are of the male. They’ve been used as breeding dogs and farm dogs their whole lives. We are hoping there is a breed savvy rescue out there that can take them or that one of our clients is looking for some great farm dogs. If anyone is interested in them, we are happy to answer any questions, or to forward their information along. We always offer to do their exams and vaccines at no charge to the new owner. We just ask that people with breed experience and/or farm dog experience look into these beauties. They are very friendly, but the female in particular is shy. They have also never been in a house so they would do best at a farm location. Thanks for the shares!
