so much good with the rescue herd this week… a visit from Wendy the badass farrier @_wendyhudson and Ruby conquered her farrier fears after some consistent ground work thanks to Carly and Andrea working with Ruby every day to show her picking up and having her pedicure was gonna be all right♥️… and finally the joy each night for dinner time as they come joyfully and willing… enjoy and thanks to all of your for tuning in and the generous support that helps keep the herd fed, vetted and consistent mani/pedis all around. Feeding time in the summertime. We are proud of our #tinybutmighty herd and team of supporters who help us ensure that the herd is well fed and cared for. There seems to be so much bad news out there with supposed “legit” rescues neglecting their horses who are starving and not getting the care they so deserve. This is unimaginable to us as you can see here that the herd has round bellies and are so happy. It is this reason that we do not continue to rescue and take in more animals - we are a responsible rescue and we understand our capacity - space and financially. As it is, my husband and I cover a large part of the expenses for the herd ourselves, and we are extremely grateful for so many supporters that donated 1x or are patreon members, or purchase items that trigger a donation back to the herd!. Every dollar goes to their care and every dollar is appreciated. Thomas had a rough go of it 3 years ago- when we found him in a kill pen, hooves curled up and raggedy halter… he was abused, starved and neglected. and now with consistent love, care and lots of yummy hay and feed (thank you to all of our amazing supporters!) he can stop to smell a sunflower as the sun sets on another day with the rescued herd of Mustangs, horses, donkeys and that mule! 📷Carly 🙏🏻♥️ … If you want to help Thomas and the rest, give us a like and a follow and check out the Thomas hashtag to see more! #saveadonkey #3rdcoastthomas
