Today’s training with Majesty incorporated a snuffle mat. Her high energy and impulsiveness needed to be toned down, so we introduced a snuffle mat for sniffing and finding the food and treats. This exercise satisfies a dogs need to smell and hunt . After she was calmer, we were able to continue with our leash walking exercises. We call this type of activity canine enrichment, and there are many different games we can give our dogs to benefit their needs and drives.
