Ella came to Trans Pecos Dusty Paws Rescue on July 10th as a very tiny, frail kitten not thriving from the shelterless community of Grandfalls. Ella struggled to keep food down and gain weight. After lots of TLC, she has blossomed 🌸 into the most beautiful outgoing kitten!

Elsa was a late night save last week from Pecos. She had been living outside with her two litter mates who are still in foster.

This dynamic duo headed to their forever home in Burnet today!! We are so excited for these girls!! 🩷 They became fast friends instantly.

Word has it they have already taken over their new home and are very loved!!

We had a late night 🌙 pickup yesterday for 3 kittens in Pecos. They are now enjoying the comfort of foster care in a home environment. Their vetting begins immediately.

We currently have 16 dogs/pups and 17 cats/kittens in foster and a waiting list of those in need.

We appreciate any help you can add to our efforts!!

It’s been a busy day at Trans Pecos Dusty Paws Rescue! Rob & Kerith got their freedom ride today!! These two sweet souls were in an over crowded shelter and running out of time so we came up with a plan to get them out today.

We also welcomed another sweet girl who was living in an abusive home. It took two volunteers to get these 3 lucky dogs to their foster and safe.

Thank you Sam McCoy for giving Celery & Kale a ride back to their fosters house from Fort Davis Veterinary Services. The girls were spayed & received their rabies shots. They are one step closer to being available for adoption!

Another volunteer gave Geo a ride back to his fosters house from Pecos Animal Clinic after his neuter!

Gem & Tulsa have arrived safely at Pawfect Life Rescue in Uxbridge, MA thanks to Twilight Furry Friends Transport, LLC!! We drove the girls to Junction on Wednesday to start their journey up North.

Gem was found in the middle of a busy street. We pulled Tulsa from an over crowded shelter. Gem’s outgoing personality helped shy Tulsa gain confidence.

Great things are ahead for these girls!! 🩷🩷

Thank you Tractor Supply of Pecos for hosting our event today!! Thank you Luke Brown for the watermelons. 🍉 We had a great time!!

Angel, a Tractor Supply employee, pulled the winning ticket for the raffle. Congratulations to Ivan Hernandez who won the raffle for the free spay/neuter!!!

We also welcomed a new pup to Trans Pecos Dusty Paws Rescue from the city of Pecos. The pup was found on the streets of Pecos by a Good Samaritan. She reached out to us, and we came up with a quick plan to help. 🩷 So many Pecos folks also pitched in to help this sweet girl! Someone donated a soft plush crate pad, a bag of puppy food, and then she got a bath from a wonderful family!! Rest assured “Angel”is resting peacefully in her foster home.

Thank you Pecos for coming out to Tractor Supply this morning! We can’t wait for our next event there!! Stay tuned!!!

Thank you Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals for accepting kittens Sandal, Croc, Flip, & Flop Tuesday morning. Since we could empty the cat shack, we were able to help 10 cats that desperately needed out of the horrendous heat🌡️ we have been having. We are so grateful for such great rescue partners!! 🐈

Thank you to the thoughtful person who donated these items from our Chewy link. It also shows some clumping cat litter on the way. The timing couldn’t have been better with 4 new kittens this week & 4 puppies today. We currently have 14 dogs/puppies in foster & 7 kittens. Of course there is a waiting list of those who need help.

We just received life saving vaccines that are needed for the puppies / dogs for a total of $403.48. We have gone through several trays of vaccines this year. Puppies under 6 months old must have 3 Dappv vaccines before they can travel on transport. Dogs over 6 months need 2 Dappv vaccines to travel. All puppies/dogs must be vaccinated for kennel cough. Puppies / dogs cannot go on transports to receiving rescues without proper vaccinations.

We appreciate your continued support whether it be food donations, money, sharing our post, etc. The boxes are even put to good use!! 🐕
