Arugula is the flea beetles favorite snack.. so I put the row cover on, hoping to keep those pests off of my favorite snack!
Onions are growing well, and the peas will need a fence to climb very soon!

A little harvest from the weekend! ๐จโ๐พ
Green Cabbages are getting so close, and the Red Scarvita Cabbage will start to come out this week for kimchi!
Purple Cauliflowers are maturing one at a time, while the Brussels Sprouts crisp up in the colder weather!
Last but not least, a Chioggia Striped Beet! My first time ever growing beets, and I'm so happy to see the striped beets come out first ๐
It's been such an amazing year of growing ๐จโ๐พ
Not just in the garden, but also on a personal level. I am so excited to improve in many ways!
First time growing brussels sprouts, potatoes, pattypan squash, carrots and radishes!
Extremely happy with my results, and what I have learned along the way.
I am proud to grow my own, and one day, many of you will be proud to eat my veggies too.
The garden has taken off as of late!
Zucchinis are coming in hot, green and red cabbage, broccoli, and radicchio are all starting to form! ๐ฅฆ
Cauliflower, Brussels Sprouts, and a secret veggie variety will be coming soon! Fingers crossed everything works out in my favor ๐ค๐ป
Red leaf spinach and chard should be ready to mix in with the mostly red lettuce blend, and carrots will be going steady until harvest! ๐ฅ

After a solid two months of working and waiting, I was able to harvest tons of lettuce mix, and some purple baby kale! ๐
Spinach, baby chard, carrots, red radish, daikon radish, and some zucchini will be next!
Green and purple beans have been going steady since the heat wave. Second pick was three times heavier than the first! ๐จโ๐พ

Anything purple is my favorite, and these purple beans taste even sweeter than the green in my opinion!

Photos 1-5 are mustard varieties that have unique speckling on the cotyledons, with the most interesting true leaves I have seen! ๐ฎ
Photo 6 is a true leaf mizuna that will be added to the spicy mix, and the new mizuna + mustard mix! ๐๏ธ
Photos 7 & 8 are true leaf kale and cabbage.
Truly exotic looking true leaves that add a whole new element to plate appeal!
Photos 9 & 10 are red radish and amaranth. Two beautiful varieties that will add both color and flavor to the existing mixes I grow!

You Reap What You Sow ๐จโ๐พ
Dug up a hill and got some fresh potatoes, picked some green beans and sampled a sweet, tender purple bean (my fav) ๐
Also, my first attempts at pickling cukes shows some form of success! Purple kohlrabi, green, yellow and patty pan squash are starting to form ๐
The remaining transplants grew so much after that heat wave, and show no signs of slowing down! Gardening is so fun, and rewarding! ๐
