We've seen some questions on coat clipping recently and thought we would share some photos from our Kind Hands Tour taken with our thermo camera.

The picture is of Julie's two Briards - Leroy in a long coat and Indie clipped short.

👉Indie on the right is losing heat - RED. Her short coat is allowing more heat to leave her body so her system has to work harder to stay warm and she might therefore need to eat more.

👉Leroy on the left is in full coat which protects him from losing body heat.

🥎 Tennis balls are the leading cause of worn down teeth and root exposure! 🥎

🥎 Tennis balls can be tough on a dog's teeth! Despite their seemingly soft and fuzzy exterior, the abrasive texture of the felt can act like sandpaper on a dog's teeth, wearing down the protective enamel over time. This process, known as dental abrasion, can lead to increased tooth sensitivity and other painful and expensive dental issues.

How do I avoid this?
🦷 Rubber balls have a smooth surface which is much more suitable. I personally recommend chuck it and kong balls.
🦷 Have a dental check at your vets if you are concerned about worn down teeth
🦷 Keep your eye on your dogs teeth and be mindful for any signs of sensitivity, pain or discomfort.

Two washes later he was back to his usual colour.
He surely knows how to have fun 🐶

🐾 7mth old Yuki had a very stubborn mat behind his ear so he decided to lay down and relax while I tackled it 🤣 If only all dogs liked dematting like this little man does😬

🐾 I remember Boris’ first visit. He was petrified, shaking like a leaf,didn’t know what to do with himself. He’d sit on the table curled up not wanting to be touched. I took it really slowly with him and Now he’s a tail wagging machine and I can honestly say he loves being pampered 🥰

Buzz is not too keen on being on the table so the floor it is 🤣 Something tells me he enjoyed his grooming today
