August 30-31 we are also gone.

Sept 8-23 we are gone on Mos Cryptid graduation tour.

Our favorite dog walker is graduating from high school! (I’m not crying, you’re crying).

Our summer will have the usual horse shows we need time off for but then in September we will be taking 3 weeks off to go on MO’s Cryptid Graduation Trip!

A reminder that Mo and I are out if town this week from Thursday through Sunday. We will be back Monday.

I will be in North Carolina signing some of my books at the Authors in the Haunted City event.

Our schedule is a little crazy this month!

Next weekend we will not be taking lunch walks on Sunday.

The weekend after is normal.

We will be gone the 28-1.

I will post October in a few weeks. This is Mo and Mikey’s sr year so weekends are mostly for them!

Mo is booked for overnights in July while we are home.

August dates will go up once we know if Mo makes regionals or not.

If you are looking at overnights for the holidays, know that Mo gets booked early for those.

With last nights storms here and in OK where our show family is, this is a good time for this reminder.

Your animals are very important to us. With that said we do not walk in dangerous situations. These include lightning, police activity in the area, any excess loose dogs in the area, and anything else we deem dangerous to ourselves or your animal.

That is not to say we will abandon or ignore them. It could simply mean a trip to the back yard instead of a walk. Please remember we do go above and beyond for your animals safety including having brought animals to our home during a hurricane.

What to Do if Your Pet Has Heatstroke
If your pet is experiencing heatstroke, follow these steps in order to cool them down:
Move your pet to a shaded and cool area immediately.
Begin cooling your pet down.
The easiest way to cool a dog is to wet them. Pour cool (not cold to avoid shock) water over them.
Use a hose or wet towels.
Allow your pet to drink small amounts of cool water.
Get your dog to the vet ASAP. You can continue cooling him with wet towels on the way, but not so much that they start shivering

A couple summer reminders.

It’s hot! Your dog might have been able to walk a long way in the cooler weather, but take the temp and heat index into consideration when walking now

The sidewalks are hot. Remember to let them walk on the grass.

July we are gone the 5-15. Some of that might open up a bit depending on schedules but as of right now we will not be in town.

Some of you know I am a writer as well as your dogs favorite aunt, I rarely cross advertise but all the proceeds from this book go to help train and provide service dogs for those in need. Ivy would approve.

17-Year-Old Mo Purdie Pays It Forward With Nyla’s Closet

In 2021, when she was just 15 years old, Florida exhibitor Mo Purdie made a momentous decision. She decided, since she’d been lucky enough to receive a donation of show clothes to show in previously, it was time to pay it forward. Hence, Nyla’s Closet was found.

Her charity to pay forward the gratitude she felt for her own donated show clothes has been benefitting 4-H clubs, Special Olympics teams, and Equestrians with Disabilities ever since. Her coach, Caitlin Daniels, is planning on picking up donations at their next site at the FPHC Florida Winter Classic this coming weekend in Bushnell.

I wanted to let everyone know our schedule for January. Mo is competing at the Florida State Miss United States Agriculture pageant January 20-22 so we will not be taking clients then.

January 28 Mo has a horse show during the day so we will not be taking clients.

The rest of the year depends on the pageant results. Don’t worry. I’ll let you all know how it goes 🙂
