Every Star Farm Small Private Equine Sanctuary & Hunt Seat Show Farm We do not adopt animals out, and let them live out the rest of their lives here. This is their forever home.

✯ Rescue work:
We focus on individualized attention for each animal, and let this be the last stop on their journey. In being a small, private farm, we are able to give each animal more time out of our day for just THEM. We rescue mainly equines, cats, and dogs.

✯ Services:
In the Spring, we love to have the Merrimack County Daisy Scouts over to

learn more about horses and help them earn any horse/pet care badges they may need. They also get to take a pony ride on Pocahontas or Quincy. In the Summer, our Pocahontas, Petey, and Ellie go to Floyd Woods Farm Younger Kids Horse Camp as some of the camp ponies. Learn more about the 4 day camp at http://www.floydwoodsfarm.com

Tonka is a 1999 15.1hh chestnut Appendix gelding. We rescued him from a neglect situation, where he had been locked in a stall for a year and a half. Tonka's "owners" had not been making their payments on him after claiming they were sold a crazy horse when he spooked at something. They locked him in a stall and didn't let him out, saying he was too dangerous. Not having finished paying for him, they technically did not own him, but his rightful owner (a friend of ours) didn't have room for him anymore, so she transferred ownership over to us. We picked him up on January 11, 2012.

Colonel Freckles, or "Quincy" is a 1995 15hh chestnut leopard Appaloosa gelding. He has unfortunately been diagnosed with arthritis and navicular, but he can still go W/T/C and loves to trail ride. We got him on May 27, 2009.

Lady Guinevere, "Evaire" for short, is a dark bay 1991 16.1hh Thoroughbred mare. After having made her owners over $24,000 on the racetrack, selling for $47,000, and having 11 foals, she was sent to auction at 19yo. We rescued her from the Camelot auction kill pen in April of 2010, where she was Hip #604. She is now a hunter, and has jumped up to 3'6". We bought her on April 16, 2010.

Colors Of The Wind, or "Pocahontas" is a 1999 bay roan tobiano 12.2hh Pony Of The Americas (POA) mare. She competed in the rated .80-.85m jumpers, finishing 7th in NH for 2012 before being diagnosed with Insulin Resistance in March of 2013. She is now limited to 2'-2'3" jumps, and she won every 2'-2'3" jumper class she entered in 2013. We got her on July 17, 2008.

Yuck, rainy day! At least it's melting some of the snow. Spent some time with little Ellie, she was begging for me to scratch her many itches. ^-^ I'm starting to wonder how skinny she really is...like I've said before, she's all fur! But I'm starting to think she is skinnier than I first imagined. Poor girl. You can see her neck is thin even with the fur. Can't wait to get her body clipped and find out!
