I recently came across this excellent post that has been circulating on social media. It does NOT mean you can’t love your dog. It does not mean you can’t have a pet. And it does not mean your pet shouldn’t be a beloved member of the family. It means we should communicate with dogs in a way they understand, with structure and boundaries. It means consider the breed you are purchasing and brining into your household. It means do not humanize your dog to the point you are creating anxiety by asking them to live in a way they simply can not understand due to the fact that they are animals, and not humans. Anyone that has personally met me and my personal dogs knows exactly how much I love them, and the best life I can give them is to honor them as DOGS

Today's culture is absolutely ruining dogs

People are treating their dogs like people, and no matter how much you say it, or what you believe, they're not kids, they're dogs... An apex predator with forty-two teeth on its head and bite pressure that can break bones

They deserve to be treated like dogs !

Somehow treating your dog like a dog has become a taboo subject and it's due to today's mentality

I can't say no to a dog
I can't go with a dog in the cold weather
I can't let a dog get muddy
I can't give a dog a job
If your dog is fit, he is too skinny

We are walking into a world where giving your dog a job is cruel beyond belief, but having a 30kg overweight dog with diabetes who is unable to move is absolutely fine. Something totally warped, twisted and wrong

They are dogs! Treat them like dogs. You can't have any animal and pretend he's a baby. Hello, this is my whale, this is my baby. It does not work like that

We have to push back on this current mentality because it is literally killing the dogs. Dogs are dying every day simply because no one told them what rules they were supposed to follow or because they weren't given a much needed job

Let's start honoring our dogs for the absolutely amazing creatures they are. The dogs are magnificent, majestic, intelligent and robust. For me they are the best animal on the planet so let's stop killing them and treating them for exactly what they are not

What a weeks it’s been at Uncle Earls!
So proud of our boys it may be a small thing to some but it means the world to us. The Blood, Sweat and Tears put into each of these dogs just to accomplish what we have is out of this world.

Collin and Riot(A Shelter Redbone) bayed a 2 min perfect to be followed by a 5 min perfect and then a 9.8 in the 6 min round and we split 9-10th with Brighteyes and OkieAnnie.

Tunechi bayed a 9.9 on a nasty one in the one dog and brought home a woods class first.

RAWHIDE bayed a perfect in the one dog sending us into the the bay off and got us a second in the NALC option behind the amazing Joy Shaw and Rock! He also managed to bring Home a couple NALC Trophies in the 2 Dog with Jarrett Findley’s Hub! Amber LuLu Findley Jerred Cain Findley and let me tell you P**t BAYED HIS DOG! Baddest little Dog man on the grounds!

To some what we have accomplished is nothing special but to us it’s everything we have worked for, I’ll proudly go home with our woods,NALC and 9/10 place in the 2 Dog because there were 359 pairs in the 2 dog, 86 Dogs in the 5 min bay off and 20 something in the 6 min bay off.

Congratulations to everyone who is coming home with something from this previous week, even it’s just lifelong memories!

So Excited for Mr.Harley and his pup Mieko
(Doc/Nova). He has been on 25 tracks this year and they lucky have found 25 deer! I know his daddy is proud of him and we are too. As a less than a year old pup I think he’s going to be quite alright!

We had a great weekend at HX. We managed to pull off a second place in the hound with Riot and Ruth came away with a 1st in the puppy bay. We got into the bay off with Doc Holiday and Rawhide in the one dog, but Doc had came out of the first round with a bloody paw pad and he wasn’t feeling the bay off so he decided he was done and caught. I was so proud of Rawhide it was the first time he managed to not catch and bayed for the 2. It was so great to see everyone and all the happiness everyone had to finally be at a Georgia event.
