Heatstroke! It’s heating up and for the elderly, obese, brachycephalic breeds, those with heart and lung disease, and the large and giant breeds are especially at risk.

Here are SOME tips to help. With my online canine health and first-aid course currently having a change, there will be a whole chapter on hyper and hypothermia.

Then research updates and changes, currently water is the fluid of choice, no more surgical spirit on the paw pads! It is still a haevily debated topic...

It’s A Dog’s Life: My Story

After twelve years working as a Nurse, a few years ago I decided to pursue an exciting new career as a dog walker. It’s a role that fits well with my family life, but also enables me to re-connect with my lifelong passion for dogs.

To spend time looking after and caring for dogs is a responsibility I take very seriously and the welfare, health and well-being of the animals in my care is paramount. I know how much I love my own dog Duke and I like to think I bring the same compassion and care for the dogs I work with, as if they were my own.

I have experience in walking and caring for a wide range of dogs. I am DBS-checked, a qualified pet first aider and am fully insured.
