Hello handsome!
Anyone have suggestions on what I can do for mane growth?
I've never cut aviciis mane but I still deal with alot of breakage especially where his blankets sit.
Open to any suggestions supplements, topical products etc.

What a cool experience!!
Avicii's ranch horse bloodlines came out this morning!
We had a fantastic ride with a few of the resident western riders at the barn, I was a bit apprehensive of the flag thing he would be gone with the wind 💨
But to my surprise he stood there and watch the pros go at it tracking the flag and the horse.
They kindly let me give it a try and boy did his natural instincts ever kick in I was shocked and so proud.
Maybe some cow clinics will be in our future 🤔 😉

Ok I have to gloat a little Avicii is looking fantastic on his forage only based diet!
Avicii is currently spoiled with the most lush beautiful pasture that he shares with his best bud Legacy they rotate everyday just so they keep there figures 😉🤭.
Avicii gets one feeding a day of Maxx Alfalfa Timothy cubes.
Less is truly more sometimes I'm so happy with how he looks 💓

I certainly took a risk riding outside yesterday 12 degrees and very windy, so windy it kept blowing my quarter sheet off. Nothing phases this guy I sware! Not even a scary flapping quarter sheet under his legs!
I was quick to take it off after one lap of the track fighting it!

I'm so over the moon with happiness!
This week's rides have been absolutely amazing and game changers, we left the arena work for this week and focused on fun and relaxation.
I had a fantastic ride with the bestie on Tuesday we decided to hack around the half mile track we have on the property I felt so amazing through our w/t/c gates I decided to let him reach into that canter a bit more and find the most fantastic gallop avicii was so happy, free and excited. I was so proud of him.
Then tonight we enjoyed the most beautiful off property hack with 5 other horses he was completely unphased even led through some of the scary spots! We saw strange buildings, cars, lakes, sticky muck, trees, rocks, big hills, culverts not even a flinch he was so fantastic 🧡
I can't wait till summer and many more adventures with this amazing animal he's totally my soulmate I will never have another like him!

First time jumping any sort of combo and he took it like a champ, took a few times to get into a nice groove but I'm so proud of him. I think I have a future jumper on my hands he loves it!

Had another fantastic ride last night on Mr. Avicii.
Focusing on our trot and just allowing him space to relax and find where he wants to carry himself encouraging forward and balance we even got some beautiful canter transitions in. I'm so excited for what this year holds for us!

Avicii and I had a breakthrough ride today!!
When Avicii started his rearing I decided to take him right back to basics of riding in a simple rope halter and minimal tack and re building trust doing things he really enjoyed doing under saddle jumping, pole work and trail riding.
Fast forward 2 years later I never thought I'd be seeing my horse back in a bit doing arena work. Things are much different now and he is my top priority (as he always should of been just sometimes our own happiness and pride get the better) his happiness and willingness in the arena is something I never wanna question again.
I've noticed Avicii carries a ton of tension in the arena which you can see in the first few photos. I actually even noticed how much tension I was carrying which was directly fed down into how avicii was feeling.
I decided for the last half of my ride to just let go let myself relax and let avicii relax.
Slowly but surely I suddenly had Impulsion, rhythm and even some lovely body carriage.
I realized all that tension for the first half of my ride that I was carrying in my body directly translated into a horse that was over flexing, sucking back, getting tense and really just telling me something wasn't right.
Maybe it's not that avicii holds tension but it's that I'm holding tension which he is sensing and trying his best to communicate that with me.
I'm so happy with this horse he was clearly telling me that I needed to relax and enjoy the ride not worry about all the little details, I'm so thankful for this horse and the bond we have. 🧡💛
