Reminder !!! We will be away from August 13th to 24th for a much needed vacation 💖 there are a very limited number of appointment slots left for house call visits between now and the time we are away. Salon appointments (at The Foxy Hound Pet Salon) have a bit more availability but are also booking up fast!

Nigel and Monty came for a visit ! They did great for their first groom, would you believe they're still technically kittens? Maine c***s grow much quicker and much bigger than domestic cats, and it's common for them to keep growing until about 5 years old!!

A little before and after for your Sunday 🐱🥰 Felix was such a good boy for his lion cut and bath! Fun fact - Felix is a Highland Lynx cat! They are known for having ears that curl at the tips and having no tails!

Coco is a camera shy girl but we wanted to show off how much fur she has after her lion cut!
Simon had a lot of dander build up and needed a good fresh start! He got our Mane Lion package that includes a nail trim, ear cleaning, lion cut style shave, and a deep cleaning deshedding bath!
If you don't like the look of a lion cut, but want your kitty's fur shorter and easier to maintain, then the Teddy Bear cut is for you! Using a clip comb on the clippers allows the fur to be cut but not shaved as short as the lion cut, and helps with maintaining their fur when it gets a little bit out of control !

Charlie got to have his first bath with us ! Although he wasn't a fan of the nail trim or blow dryer, he was so brave for the bath and is much less furry now!

Fleas!!! This fall season has been unusually warm which means fleas and ticks are still out hunting for their next victim! To check your pet for fleas, grab a flashlight and a flea comb or finger comb through your pets fur to see down to their skin. If you see little black specs that look like coffee grounds (especially near the base of the tail or on their belly), chances are your pet has fleas. Treating fleas in your home and on your pets can be at least a 3 month long process if not more. .
