What to Eat to Kill Cancer (Once You Have Cancer) - Dr. Berg
Fred Evrard is back with us to answer your questions about how he overcame cancer and what to eat to kill cancer.
Fred found out he had a 10 cm tumor in his colon. But, within four months, he went from having borderline stage four cancer to being cancer-free.
Fred attributes much of his success to fasting, keto, and a unique supplement protocol. During his 21-day fast, he didn’t have any food. He mostly had water. He also consumed a shot of wheatgrass juice, using my Wheatgrass Juice Powder, around three to four times a week.
After his fast, he committed to OMAD (one meal a day) and a strict 100% organic ketogenic diet with supplements. Even though Fred could not, if you can, it may be best to take supplements while fasting as well.
The supplements he used were:
• Vitamin D3
• Vitamin C
• Turmeric
• Zinc
• Omega-3 fatty acids (in the form of fish oil and DHA)
• Alpha-lipoic acid
• Garcinia cambogia
• Garlic or garlic extract
• Melatonin
• Bromelain
• Matcha green tea
After three months, Fred did another 21-day fast—but he only fasted for five days a week and ate a keto diet over the weekend. But, even when he ate over the weekend, he was still doing OMAD.
As a part of his strict 100% organic ketogenic diet, he consumed proteins, fats, and vegetables, which for him, included:
• Freshly pressed vegetable juice
• 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef (mostly ribeye steak)
• Healthy fats (avocados, coconut oil, grass-fed butter, and French heavy cream)
He would break his fast with fresh vegetable juice, and about an hour later, he would have a large steak cooked in butter or olive oil with Himalayan salt or sea salt and an avocado. About 5 to 10 minutes after that, he would have a large glass of green tea. He also did a lot to lower his stress throughout his journey.

The REAL Cause of Abdominal Pain and Bloating - Dr. Berg
Typically, when you go to the doctor for abdominal pain, you’ll get a diagnosis, and tips on how to manage the symptoms. They don’t usually give you a lot of information on how to fix the root cause.
Nothing I say is meant to diagnose or replace your medical care. I want to give you information that you can think about regarding the potential root problem of your abdominal pain.
A few lesser-known things that can lead to abdominal pain are:
1. Low hydrochloric acid
2. A bile deficiency
3. A problem with the pancreas
4. A lack of enzymes
5. A lack of friendly bacteria
Other common abdominal pain causes:
• Food allergies
• An intolerance to certain foods
• Sensitivities to certain foods
• Enzyme inhibitors
• Antinutrients
• Inflammatory foods
• Synthetic fibers
However, the three main root causes of abdominal pain are:
1. Frequent eating
2. Grains and seed oils in your diet
3. Antibiotics and other medications
The best things to do for abdominal pain:
In the upper right quadrant:
• Take TUDCA on an empty stomach
• Take bile salts with meals
In the upper-middle quadrant:
• Take betaine hydrochloride (unless you have an ulcer)
In the upper left quadrant:
• Consume more raw foods
• Take an enzyme
• Decrease insulin
In the mid quadrant (for SIBO):
• Consume more garlic
• Consume more oregano
• Do intermittent fasting
In the mid-left quadrant (for kidney stones):
• Drink lemon water
• Drink at least 2.5 liters of fluid a day
In the lower quadrants:
• Consume fermented foods or a probiotic supplement
• Eliminate dairy (for the prostate, uterus, or ovaries)
DRINK 1 CUP PER DAY to Prevent Heart Attacks and a Stroke (GARLIC WATER) - Dr. Berg
Today we’re going to talk about how garlic can help support a healthy heart.
Anything in this video is not meant to diagnose or replace your medical care. Check with your doctor before implementing this.
Garlic has shown similar effects to standard blood pressure lowering medications. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg of what garlic can do for the heart.
Additional health benefits of garlic for the heart:
• It’s antiviral
• It’s antifungal
• It’s antibacterial
• It may help with TB and H. pylori
• It may help kill worms and parasites
• It can help lower insulin and improve insulin resistance
• It may decrease the risk of cancer
• It’s anti-inflammatory and may help with arthritis
• It can help increase endurance
A compound called thromboxane can occur in your body after injury or inflammation and can lead to serious problems with the heart. However, a few things can inhibit this compound, including blood thinners, garlic, and olive oil.
Garlic can help reduce the risk of clots. It also has natural properties that can potentially help lower blood pressure, reduce artery stiffness, and lower your calcium score.
It may also help balance lipids and cholesterol and help a person produce more bile, which then helps regulate cholesterol. It may even help with something called infective endocarditis because it’s very antimicrobial.
Garlic water is one of the best things you can drink to help support a healthy heart, and it’s simple to make. All you need to do is crush one garlic clove and stir it into 8 to 12 ounces of water. Then, mix one teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil into the water, let it sit for about 15 minutes, and drink up.
You can also add more garlic to your recipes or take a supplement.
The BEST Way to Release a Tight Psoas Muscle for Low Back Pain and Poor Posture
Today, I’m going to share the best stretch for your psoas muscle.
The psoas muscle connects the upper part of your body with the lower part. A tight psoas muscle can lead to low back pain, poor posture, and problems with the hips.
Problems with the psoas muscle can make it difficult to:
• Get out of bed
• Stand from a seated position
• Walk and run
• Have good posture
• Keep a low back curve
• Climb stairs
When the psoas is too tight, it affects a lot of other muscles, and those muscles start to compensate.
Typically, a person will have a tighter psoas muscle on one side more than the other side. It’s very important to fix that and keep the psoas symmetrical.
This simple psoas stretch that I’m going to show you will also help you strengthen and stabilize this muscle. I think it’s going to give you a lot of relief.
Over the course of two to three weeks of doing this stretch, you’ll find that when you walk, your pelvis, hips, and gait are more free and open. You’ll also notice that your low back pain is much better, your hips are less tight, and your low back curve is in a good position.
Watch the video for an in-depth demonstration of the best stretch for your psoas.
THIS is the Most Powerful ADAPTOGEN in The World - How it Works and Why it's THE BEST
Today, we’re going to talk about the most powerful adaptogen in the world: ashwagandha.
An adaptogen is something that helps you cope with stress and helps your body adjust to its environment.
Ashwagandha has a lot of benefits, but we’re going to focus on how it can help you adapt to stress. Ashwagandha has helped many people feel calmer and like they can cope with stress easier.
Ashwagandha helps control the HPA axis, which is the communication between your hypothalamus, pituitary, and adrenals. These hormonal communications help the body adapt to a stress response.
Once the communication is complete, the hormone is supposed to lower back down, but with chronic stress, cortisol never goes back down and is chronically elevated. Ashwagandha can help reduce these hormones.
Cortisol isn’t a bad thing. It doesn’t cause stress—it’s adapting your body to a stress state. But, it’s not healthy to have your body in a state of chronic stress and chronically elevated cortisol.
Potential benefits of ashwagandha:
• It helps lower cortisol in the AM
• It helps lower DHEA (a precursor to cortisol) in the AM
• It helps raise testosterone (stress lowers testosterone)
• It helps increase endurance
• It helps increase strength (stress may cause weakness)
• It has shown significant improvements in emotions
The REAL Reason Why Your Serotonin Is Low and You Have Depression and Anxiety
Today, we’re going to talk about the real reason why your serotonin is low. Low serotonin can lead to depression or anxiety.
Serotonin is involved with a person’s mood changes. If there is a problem with serotonin, it can affect your mood, behavior, and many other things.
SSRIs are a class of medications. This type of medication is one of the most common treatments for low serotonin.
However, SSRIs come with unwanted side effects, including suicidal thoughts, sexual dysfunction, and more. Another big side effect of SSRIs is discontinuation syndrome, which is basically withdrawal.
So, what causes a serotonin deficiency? Well, 95% of the serotonin in your body is made by the good bacteria in your gut. The microbiome is a huge part of a person’s health and the ability to make neurotransmitters. If there is something wrong with your gut bacteria, you’re going to have a problem with serotonin.
I believe a huge potential cause of low serotonin is glyphosate. Glyphosate is one of the most common herbicides. There is some interesting research related to glyphosate and lowered serotonin.
How to increase serotonin naturally:
1. Consume organic, non-GMO foods and grass-fed, grass-finished meats
2. Avoid common foods that are heavily sprayed (soy, corn, wheat, sugar, and seed oils)
3. Consume probiotic foods
4. Consume more vegetables
5. Get plenty of sun exposure
6. Exercise
7. Do keto and intermittent fasting
8. Take apple cider vinegar regularly (1 Tbsp in a glass of water)
The Vitamin Deficiency behind TIRED and STRAINED EYES
Today we're going to talk about the vitamin deficiency that's behind tired eyes.
This deficiency can also create other symptoms, including:
• Eye strain
• Light-sensitive eyes
• Burning eyes
• Irritated eyes
• Feeling like you have sand in your eyes
• Watery eyes
• Bloodshot or red eyes
• Cataracts
A B2 deficiency is the #1 vitamin deficiency that can cause these problems with the eyes.
Other symptoms of a vitamin B2 deficiency can include a sore throat, cracked lips, and a red tongue. You may also experience migraines or headaches behind your eyes if you're deficient in vitamin B2.
Foods rich in vitamin B2:
• Liver and other organ meats
• Meat
• Eggs
• Fish
• Milk products
• Green vegetables
• Nutritional yeast
• Brewer's yeast
Causes of a vitamin B2 deficiency:
• Antibiotics
• Refined grains
• Refined corn products
• A vegan diet
• A vegetarian diet (if you're an athlete)
• Hypothyroidism
• Alcohol
• High amounts of sugar
• High stress
The REAL Cause and Cure for DANDRUFF
Today we’re going to talk about what causes dandruff and the best natural remedies for dandruff.
Dandruff is the result of a scaly, flaky scalp. The typical dandruff treatment is dandruff shampoo, like Head and Shoulders, which uses a certain anti-fungal and antibacterial chemical. While it may get rid of dandruff temporarily, it’s actually banned in Europe because it’s potentially toxic to a person’s reproductive organs.
There is a particular fungus that’s behind dandruff called Malassezia. In this situation, this type of fungus, which is a part of the normal flora on the skin, has morphed overgrown.
The real root cause of dandruff is an imbalance in the scalp microflora, causing inflammation and an immune reaction. Antibiotics can lead to this imbalance—killing bacteria that keep unfriendly microbes in check and allowing them to overgrow and cause problems.
The best remedy for dandruff:
Mix 1 tsp of the liquid from kimchi in 1 cup of water. After shampooing your hair in the shower, apply this mixture to your scalp. After 15 minutes, rinse the mixture from your scalp.
Another great remedy for dandruff is a mixture of 2 tsp of olive oil mixed with 1/2 tsp of coconut oil, applied to the scalp before bed and washed out in the morning.
Other dandruff remedies include:
• Diluted tea tree oil
• Diluted garlic oil
• Diluted oregano oil
It’s also vital that you change your shampoo and conditioner to natural versions and use a water filter in your shower.
One of the most important things you can do to get rid of dandruff is to fix your diet. You would want to go on a low-carb diet (Healthy Keto), cut out sugar and omega-6 oils, and consume more foods that contain probiotics. Learn more about the keto diet in my other videos.
The #1 Food That STOPS Your Immune System from Working - Dr. Berg
Vitamin D, vitamin C, and zinc are the top nutrients that boost your immune system. But, there is one food that can cause a deficiency in all three of these nutrients and negatively affect your immune system.
Vitamin D is involved in every part of your immune system. Vitamin D helps regulate the immune system and minimize the collateral damage from pathogens—especially viruses.
Vitamin C makes white blood cells more active and gives them the weaponry they need to defend against infections. It also increases the ability of phagocytes to eat pathogens.
Without zinc, the thymus gland, which trains your T cells, shrinks. Zinc is important for the lymph nodes in general. Without zinc, you won’t have the number of white blood cells you need.
These three nutrients help decrease the collateral damage from an infection. It’s these nutrients that will help you go through an infection with minimal symptoms.
The #1 food that stops your immune system from working is sugar. The body will always choose sugar over vitamin C and can leave you deficient in vitamin C.
When you consume sugar, your absorption of vitamin D goes way down. It also impairs the activation of vitamin D and stops the production of vitamin D.
Sugar can cause an excess amount of zinc to be excreted from the kidneys. It also impairs the absorption of zinc.
We’re not just talking about sugar, either. We’re also talking about foods that turn into sugar quickly, such as refined carbs.
The best sources of vitamin C:
• Sauerkraut
• Bell peppers
• Leafy greens
The best sources of vitamin D:
• The sun
• A vitamin D3 supplement
The best sources of zinc:
• Red meat
• Shellfish
• Seafood
The worst thing for your immune system that’s not food is stress. Cortisol from stress can paralyze your immune system. Overall, the two worst things for your immune system are sugar and stress.
Venous Insufficiency- This is the Most Effective and Safest Remedy for Varicose Veins
Let’s talk about the #1 remedy for varicose veins.
Veins only pump blood when there is muscle movement. So, a sedentary person may have more problems with their veins.
Any obstruction in your liver, like scar tissue or fat, can also cause a problem with your veins. This obstruction can not only lead to varicose veins but also affect the veins in your esophagus and the lining of your stomach.
High estrogen can also affect the vascular system and can lead to varicose veins in women and men.
We really want to focus on the issues with the lower legs, where the vein circulation isn’t moving. This is called chronic venous insufficiency.
Chronic venous insufficiency can lead to:
• Varicose veins
• Spider veins
• Phlebitis
• Deep vein thrombosis
Top symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency that you’ll notice in your legs:
• Swelling of the legs and ankles
• Tight calves and cramps
• Pain
• Loss of hair
• Shiny or leathery legs
• Skin changes
• Itchy skin
• Heaviness in the legs
• Restlessness
The best remedy for varicose veins is red vine leaf extract.
Red vine leaf extract may also be beneficial for:
• An enlarged liver or spleen
• Swelling in the lower legs
• Hemorrhoids
• Bruising
• Nasal congestion
• Capillary thickness
Red vine leaf extract is also a great anti-inflammatory and can help balance the permeability within the capillaries.
Along with red vine leaf extract, you may want to try doing more rebound exercises and walking regularly—stay active.
If you have a liver problem, an excellent natural remedy is TUDCA. If you have a problem with excess estrogen, you may want to try DIM.
7 Warning Signs of Cirrhosis (End-Stage Liver Disease) - Dr. Berg
While there are a lot of cirrhosis symptoms, there are a few main warning signs you need to be aware of.
Cirrhosis is end-stage liver disease. With liver cirrhosis, a person’s normal cells are replaced with scar tissue. This typically starts with inflammation.
Many different things can cause inflammation in the liver, like alcohol, drugs, and refined carbs. A fatty liver can also develop inflammation.
The liver has incredible reparative cells that lay dormant until they are triggered by chronic inflammation. But, you still lose function.
A loss of liver function can increase your risk for liver cancer. It can also cause a bile deficiency, which can affect your digestion and the elimination of cholesterol and toxins. Liver damage can lead to many other health issues that affect the entire body.
Top warning signs of cirrhosis:
1. Dark urine
2. Mood and personality changes
3. Ascites (fluid leaking from the liver into the abdomen)
4. Jaundice (yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes)
5. Tiredness
6. Right upper abdominal discomfort
7. Itchy, hot feet
What to do for cirrhosis of the liver:
1. Stop the root cause (carbs, alcohol, drugs, etc.)
2. Take TUDCA (750 to 1500 mg per day on an empty stomach)
3. Take tocotrienols (300 mg per day)
4. Consume more cruciferous vegetables
5. Get on the Healthy Keto diet
6. Start doing intermittent and prolonged fasting
Keep in mind that medications can also affect the liver. Milk thistle is a fantastic natural remedy for the liver and many other conditions—it would be worth talking to your doctor about.
If you have an autoimmune disease that affects the liver, you may want to try bovine liver pills to help reduce inflammation and reset the liver.
Check with your doctor before stopping or replacing any medications.
The BEST Vitamin to Cleanse a Fatty Liver - Dr. Berg
A fatty liver isn’t always the result of alcohol consumption. There is a common disorder called non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and that’s what we’re going to talk about today.
There is one key nutrient that is almost always missing in those who have a fatty liver, and that nutrient is choline.
I’m convinced that if you don’t consume enough choline in your diet, you will develop a fatty liver. Choline is an essential nutrient. One of the main purposes of choline is to remove fat from the liver.
Choline is also involved in your brain chemistry, muscle chemistry, and cell membranes. But unfortunately, a choline deficiency is pretty common.
Potential causes of a fatty liver:
• Alcohol
• A high-carb diet
• Corticosteroids
• Tylenol
• High blood pressure medications
• Solvents
• Petroleum products
• Viruses
• Insulin resistance (high insulin)
• Low vitamin D, B12, or B3
• Low folic acid
• Seed oils
• Fructose
• High iron
Four lesser-known potential causes of a fatty liver:
1. Anorexia nervosa
2. Gastric bypass
3. Parenteral nutrition
4. Antibiotics
Foods high in choline:
• Egg yolks
• Liver
• Beef
• Chicken
• Cruciferous vegetables
• Salmon
• Almonds
You may want to include more choline in your diet if you have fatty liver disease. If you take choline as a supplement, consider taking 3 grams per day to help speed up fat removal from your liver.
Including choline as a part of your keto diet could be very beneficial. Check out more of my videos on the keto diet.
