Sidewalks and streets can actually burn your pet’s paws - check the surface with the back of your wrist or go on grass . Booties to protect your pet’s paws seem like a good idea .BUT, they should be worn only for A SHORT TIME ! Pets use their paws to release body heat - booties could cause hyperthermia if worn for long periods under hot conditions.
Finally - I suggest you keep your dog home when there is extreme heat

Cats drinking raw milk at a dairy farm contracted Avian Influenza.
Signs included: lethargy , blindness, neurological illness , and discharge form eyes and nose .

CICADAS- not dangerous to pets. They don’t sting or bite .
If your pet eats one they are not toxic except the sharp, brittle shell may cause some irritation and choking. The noise cicadas make don’t seem to bother most pets.

When I was around 7, I lived in Chicago and the cicadas emerged . It’s an experience I have never forgotten . For some reason my father gave me a rake and had me rake them off the trees. And they were noisy !!!

News: 19 year old man tries to hide stolen horse in his third floor apartment .

He got caught when neighbors spotted him trying to lead the mare into the stairwell of the multi family building.

The young man did not explain what he planned to do with the horse once he got it into the apartment .

Rabies vaccines do NOT cause autism in dogs ! I can’t stay quiet any longer. Autism is not even a thing in dogs . So stop the nonsense .
Rabies is 100% fatal if your dog gets it - and almost always fatal if humans get it. Vaccinating our pets against rabies has been one the most successful preventive medicine measures ever done !! The vaccine not only protects your pet but protects YOU !
I vaccinated literally thousands of dogs and not one died or had permanent damage - not one !
No vaccine is perfect - but the rabies vaccine comes pretty damn close!!
Vaccinate your pets -it’s the right thing to do.

Bird Flu Virus has infected our chickens and found in cows in the U.S. - make sure you drink pasteurized milk and cook your eggs just to be on the safe side. And don’t touch any wild birds. The virus can infect people but it is rare.
Dogs and cats can get Bird Flu by coming in contact with sick or dead infected wild birds, their f***s, or any contaminated surface or water source (ponds, water buckets, pans, troughs).
