Hi people, I wanted to make a little post about how I got started rescuing kittens. I have always been a cat person, my mom said that she knew I liked cats before I did. I would get excited the moment I saw one. I feel me getting into rescuing kittens was inevitable.
I think the first kitten I rescued I got in high school and it was a bottle baby. I had to learn as I went about feeding him, pottying him, and meeting his needs and it was exhausting but so rewarding.
Every kitten season or two I try to take on a new litter or singleton and care for them and find them homes, I have successfully rescued and homed about 15-20 kittens and counting. I love doing this and I mostly do it all on my own so I can only handle about one litter at a time. I have a special place in my heart the the babies coming from feral situations and really love socializing them and gaining their trust.
I am currently fostering four male kittens who are about 6-8 weeks old that came from a feral situation. I chose to give them Princess Bride names since that was my favorite moving growing up.
