🌟I made some changes!
I’ve decided to only breed Milah right now. (Which should happen today and the next few days).
And I’ve actually decided to use Teddy as the stud. (This was cleared by my geneticist).
Will have to see about this whole AI thing.
Wish me luck lol!

But they will have mini goldendoodles! And they will all be shades of red or cream. Some will be solid in color, some can have some white markings….usually seen on the chest, forehead and paws!!! Flufffy teddy bears 🧸

I’ve waited FoReVeR to finally be at this point!!
Their health genetics are 100% clear as well.

You know what’s more fun than a dog in heat lol…
2 dogs in heat at 100% the exact same time, to the day.
2 of my own intact males.
And a new roommate who brought her intact bernedoodle boy. 🤪🙃

Bernedoodle went home to roomies sister today for the next 2 weeks tho. Amen

River and Ludo will Honeymoon around next Tuesday 💕
Milah and an outside Goldendoodle stud next Tuesday as well.

Oh and a cruise to follow 😂
But I’ll have 2 live-in house sitters that week and their heats should be about over!
At least it happened now and not while we’re gone cuz I’ve been waiting for these heats for 2 years!!!! 😁😁😁

All the puppies! My favorite time of day! Very beautiful outside, sun’s still out and I’m home before dark. 🥰

River has officially taken the lead in fetch and also the obsession!
She didn’t pick up a ball for the first 6 months of her life! It’s crazy to me, but now she loves it! (Almost 1 year old 🦴on -April 17)

Ludo, at the end of the video,….he just wants to be sitting literally on top of my feet.
I want to look into getting him service trained because he does this naturally without a command and it’s not out of fear either, he just likes to sit and observe. He is calm, cool and collected. Even when I come home from work, he sits very quietly in his playpen. Doesn’t stand up and get crazy excited. Just sits and waits for me to come open the door.
….Teddy, on the other hand, is a jumping bean, a fire cracker if you will, and crazy excited and I have to make him calm down and sit before I open the door.

Dogs are just so interesting 💕

He’s here!! We’re still deciding on a name. 🖤

He is a mini red poodle. He also carries parti! He’s expected to be 10lbs full grown.

He had a full day of Travel from Utah to Vegas to Denver and finally to Raleigh-Durham airport!
Then we had to drive 4 hours home.
He did so good!

So excited to have found him! He is 100% genetically clear, which can be tough when it comes to mini poodles.

He is AKC registered as well. If he passes all health testing and OFAs then he will hopefully be the dad of some amazing puppies in the future!

this is actually a really accurate break down.
Ignore the sass lol.

POTENTIAL OWNER: How much is the puppy?
BREEDER: $2,500

POTENTIAL OWNER: What?? It's way too expensive!!

BREEDER: What do you think would be a good price?

POTENTIAL OWNER: No more than $500. You breeders are so over priced.

BREEDER: I am sorry you see it this way, why don't you try it yourself?

POTENTIAL OWNER: But I've never done it!

BREEDER: For FREE I can teach you how to do it, and in addition you will have the knowledge to do it again.

POTENTIAL OWNER: Perfect, thank you!

BREEDER: To start you will need a female(average minimal cost $3000 and up). Also a male(average minimal cost $3000 and up) or semen (average $1000 and up).

You will need to do genetic & health testing on them, averages about $750 per dog.

Raise and provide daily care, feeding & grooming. (So minimal $150 per month)

POTENTIAL OWNER: But I don't have that much money...

BREEDER: For $500 you can raise a litter for me and then keep one of the puppies. Obviously, you also have to pay the cost of whelping & care.

POTENTIAL OWNER: I can do that.

BREEDER: OK so I have a female due to whelp in 2 weeks. You will need to be available 24/7 around the clock for at least 8 weeks to help with delivery and care.
Possibly tube or bottle feed puppies every 2-3 hours if the mom is low on milk the first couple weeks.
POTENTIAL OWNER: Eight weeks?? it's way too much time for me! I have to work.

BREEDER: You will also need the reproductive vet to do xrays($200-$500), possibly progesterone testing($75-$250) & a C-section($1000-$5000) and initial vet care on pups until old enough to be placed.

Pups vets exams and two sets of vaccines ($250 and up depending on how many puppies are in the litter)

Have on hand a scale, thermometer, latex gloves, sanitizer, absorbent tissues, scissors, hemostats, heating pad, whelping box, blankets, cleaning supplies, appropriate food with supplements for mothers, formula, medications & hand feeding supplies in case of emergency....

POTENTIAL OWNER: But I don't have all these things!

BREEDER: For $1000 you can buy them.

POTENTIAL OWNER: Ummm .... You know, I think it might be better if I just buy a puppy.

BREEDER: Wise decision.

For us breeders there are no vacations or holidays, while you go to visit with family & friends we are home at our dogs side caring for them. It is a no breaks commitment.
THIS IS THE REALITY
When you choose a professional, you don't only pay for the puppy but also:
Tools, knowledge, experience, love, time, sacrifices, etc.

Everyone meet Ember 💕🐾🎀
Multigenerational mini goldendoodle.

She is already fitting right in with her sisters and brother! We love her so much!!

Whitney introduced me to the breeding world and taught me everything you need to do to do it right! We follow BAB curriculum, which allows our dogs to be so well socialized and desensitized by the time they go home at 8 weeks old. It’s obviously because Ember is not phased at all by the “chaos” 😂

Ember has been the puppy I’ve waited for for 3 years and I finally got to meet Whitney in real life! Haha

I hope to be you when I grow up! You’re my inspiration for sure!!

Thank you Dustin for always being happy to come with me on all these crazy puppy adventures and all the miles and miles!

This is my goal for the puppies in my program!

This little baby boy will be joining my program!

He is a Chocolate Phantom small standard poodle!!

He will be paired with River, my chocolate labradoodle!
They will have F1b babies.
Color possibilities: chocolate phantom, chocolate sable, chocolate solid, chocolate with white abstract markings.

Almost no shedding at all.

Curly coat, and all will have furnishings (like the beard). Furnishings plus curl, gives you the minimal minimal shedding coats.

We can’t ever claim a dog won’t ever shed, but I mean, these puppies will be extremely almost non existent shedding and hypoallergenic.

Breeding related and personal story here

Okay, hear me out 🥰 long post ahead.
God is revealing so much purpose in my life right now. 🙏🏻😭

So my favorite Home Health patient of all time (truly) has sadly had to move over to hospice.
This ONE is that patient that I will remember forever, and grew very close to in a short amount of time.
He is the same patient I have posted about before talking about the hardships he and his family have gone through all at once, as well as how he has turned all of these things into his testimony and sharing about his faith, trust, love and hope in God.

His one request from hospice was for a dog that could lay with him and maybe help distract him from his pain. 🥹

My entire goal with breeding doodles is so that I could get into producing/training therapy dogs.
I am so passionate about my patients and I am so passionate about my dogs/puppies. I would love to help make a difference even if it is their final wish.

🐾🐩🦮🐩🐕‍🦺Why doodles? (With so much controversy of the breed…or to some, not a breed at all. I believe they are the greatest dogs and I have such a love for them).
✨-The Non shedding trait is such an important (and practically required) trait to be able to bring around patients, inside of homes, or in facilities. ✨-Labradors and Golden Retrievers make up the largest percentage of service animals as well.
✨-Breeding the right calm temperament as well as temperment testing the puppies to be sure they can emotionally handle therapy work, is so important. (Not all dogs can handle the emotional drain and would not be a good fit for therapy work…they would also become depressed and possible sick themselves) …so temperament testing is vital.
(If any of my breeder friends have more information on getting your dogs/puppies into therapy work, please comment or message me!)

👩🏼‍⚕️And lastly, while I would absolutely love to stay with Amedisys Home Health here in Durham forever, we have a lot planned in the next 3+ months, that I really can’t be away for.
I thought through every possible way I could make it work, it’s just really not feasible…..
A lot having to do with puppies and Milahs next heat.

So with that said, my Home Health company back home in Hendersonville, NC has offered me to come back full time with the added bonus of a company car. 🚙 …My car is in the shop and on its last leg, I’ve been borrowing the family truck and I’m really not in a financial position to buy a car right now.
God answered this prayer! It is not the easiest to get a company car and comes with certain rules such as seniority…somehow (even tho I have been with the company since I lived in Mississippi, I haven’t always been full time) I’ve bypassed some of those time line requirements.
That is only GOD!!!

🙏🏻Like I said, God has been moving in every aspect of my life. I truly cannot believe the stars 🌟 that have aligned and the validation of so many things. (Mentioned here, as well as so many other things too).

It’s overwhelming and I have so much gratitude for everything God is putting into place.
There is NO other explanation than the MIRACLE WORKER that is GOD!

Got the best news that Milah and River have ZERO genetic variants! So they are clear of all genetic diseases/issues etc!!
And if paired with the right male, they will have some beautiful puppies!
Mini labradoodles and medium Goldendoodles

Mini 25-35 lbs
Medium 35-55 lbs

Puppies expected May 2023 at the very earliest for a go home date of July 2023.
Also hopeful for a 2023 Christmas litter!

With holidays 🎄☃️❄️coming up….it’s a popular time to get puppies! Do your research and due diligence. A new pet shouldn’t be an impulse decision.

Here are some questions to ask your breeder.

⭐️Were the parents genetically tested? Embark is Commonly used. They can send you a report of the results.

⭐️Were breed specific tests done such as OFA or Penn Hip on both parents? (There is some controversy on these, so not all breeders will do these).

⭐️Were the puppies properly socialized and handled from 0-8 weeks old?
▪️▪️Common curriculum/programs/protocols you could ask about are BAB or Puppy Culture.
▪️▪️I use BAB, so we also do Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) as well as Early Scent Introduction (ESI).

⭐️ENS, which is a special type of handling.…the benefits are listed in the picture.

⭐️ESI is great for introducing puppies to different scents, which can help if, for example, you were needing a diabetic alert dog. This would be very important for that puppy to have.

💫There is a window from 0-8 weeks that are critical for a dogs future, so what a breeder does with the puppies during that time will greatly impact the outcome of the dog and adulthood.

💫Socialization, exposure, handling etc are soooo important for puppies.

✨My puppies left with no fears around thunder, lightning, fireworks, heavy/loud machinery. They were exposed to all of that before they went to their forever homes.

🐾There are breeders and then there are ethical, responsible breeders. Make sure you ask lots of questions and sign a contract!

🐾Every responsible breeder will agree to take a puppy/dog back at any time, which also prevents dogs ending up in shelters. A good breeder will be adamant about this. We are responsible for all the puppies we produce for the entire life of the dog and also a forever resource for our families.

If you ever have questions about puppies, message me! Even if you get a puppy from someone else, that’s totally fine! But I will be happy to give advice or answer questions.

🩷Little Miss Allie got an all clear 📝 100% A+ A+ At her vet appointment this morning! He said “if there’s anything wrong with her, I sure can’t find it, everything looks good on her, even her eyes look great!” Sooooo so so happy to finally have my perfect mini Goldendoodle girl! Hopefully one day, if all testing is clear, she will be a future momma in my program. Living my dream! 🐾🐕‍🦺💃🏼👩🏼‍⚕️🐩 Full time dog mommy, PRN nurse! Today I needed a little down time. Seeing one patient in a little bit. Then have chartingggg to do! I expanded their area this morning! They aren’t quite sure what to think of it. These babies are approaching 3 weeks old!! All eyes and ears open and they are walking! It’s so stinkin cute! When they hear me come in they start walking toward my voice and they like really light petting especially their chins. Everyone is starting to get their little personalities! I love them all! And they could not be cuter if I may say so myself! 😍❤️

Maybe I’m being extra, but I haven’t left Remi’s side since she went into labor! I have a mattress right next to the whelping box and I sleep when they sleep lol. The nights seem to be much more active and they sleep more during the day of course lol. If I get up, Remi follows me. So I literally just haven’t left this room. I’m always counting them too and making sure everyone is breathing. BUT Courtney is getting my Walmart order, my mom is getting back in town today and coming over, and Dustin will be here this evening! So I’ll get to get some things done! I don’t want to leave her mainly so they don’t get laid on, but also since Remi seems to really like me by her side and getting lots of pets. My mom is on grandma duty starting tomorrow because I have to continue orientation at my job. The first two weeks are the critical window for puppies and making sure everyone is staying healthy and gaining weight.

Happy Easter puppies!

We have 9 and counting so far!! 🐾 Remi has done so good! She might be done now, we’ll see!
