This peaceful scene was filmed in Tappen, BC, one of our absolute favorite places to visit. It's peaceful, making it easy to release your stressors, and fully embrace the present. Did you know that Great Blue Herons are skilled fishers!! They can be spotted around shorelines and in shallow marshes, either slowly wading through the water or waiting patiently for their prey. Once their next meal is spotted, they will stretch out their long neck and freeze in place. When the moment is right, they strike with their very sharp bill!

Did you know that bearded dragons require a specific calcium-to-phosphorus ratio in their diet!? The ratio is between 1:1 and 2:1, to maintain healthy bones. Unfortunately, cherries have a higher phosphorus content, with a ratio of 1:1.6, which is not ideal. In fact, an excess of phosphorus can deplete calcium in bearded dragons, potentially leading to metabolic bone disease. Therefore, it's best to limit cherries in a bearded dragon's diet to once a month! 🍒

Time flies when you’re having fun! 🕰️✨ It's incredible to see the transformation Little Myles has undergone! It’s amazing to see the journey from then to now. I can’t wait to see what the future holds. Here’s a little throwback to remind us of how much he’s grown! Here’s to all the memories we’ve made and the ones yet to come!
How it all started:
We truly believe that Cali and Lizzy led us to Little Myles. A friend reached out about a breeder who had a few baby Rankins suspected of having Muscular Dystrophy and were searching for a forever home who had experience with MD. Without hesitation, we rushed over and couldn't resist taking Little Myles home! Though small in stature, he's incredibly mighty, much like Cali, yet also shares Lizzy's physical features and calm demeanor.
How is it going now:
Little Myles has come so far! He's grown in size, and his personality has blossomed. He's the sweetest, most adorable Rankin we could have hoped for. Little Myles loves sitting by the window, running outside (though not inside for some reason), and he's a huge foodie - likely the only reason he wakes up in the morning! He adores cuddle time and watching mom feed the bugs before bed. Our love for him is beyond words. 💕

I've spent countless hours with Mew outdoors. I've observed how he runs, interacts with his surroundings, and what startles him. While he's used to wearing his harness during our playtime. When we're at my parents' place, I feel comfortable letting him off his harness because I know him very well. I never take my eyes off him, and my parents live out of town in a quiet area with little traffic. Their property has plenty of open green space, making it easy for me to keep a close eye on him. Mew enjoys short sprints, which makes it easier for me to ensure his safety. So far, he's only shown interest in dandelion leaves, so I'm grateful that he's not trying to eat everything in sight. I feel incredibly privileged to have reached this stage with Mew. He's grown so much, and the trust and bond we've developed is more than I ever could have hoped for. ❤️
