Dogs trembling under tables, cats running blind with terror.
Horses tearing through fences.
Wildlife scattering in every direction, birds abandoning their nests, hedgehogs burnt alive because someone wanted a bonfire selfie.
Veterans and survivors clutching their heads in panic, hearts pounding, dragged back into places they fought so hard to escape.
All for what?
Fifteen minutes of noise. A few pictures for social media.
And another night of fear for every living thing that can’t tell the difference between a celebration and a threat.
While you’re cheering at the colours, something small and terrified is dying quietly.
If you love your pets, your neighbours, or your wildlife stop pretending this is normal.

Silent drone light shows are wonderful, beautiful and so much kinder.
