Black Silvermane Twins 💫

These two little babies are showing a VERY strong silvermane trait at only a couple weeks old! This is the exact reason why Reva will be taking over Jack’s place as our main Silvermane breeder. Her silvermane trait is far stronger than his was, as her babies are showing the trait at a much younger age. Look at that strong silvering on their faces! They were silvering even before their eyes were open 🌟

These are the last two agouti velveteen (possible silvermane) boys left from Sally x Jack’s litter! They carry the super rare Harley gene as their mother is a full Harley. They are good little boys looking for a forever home! They are each $50 to reserve via Venmo, and $50 to adopt upon pickup day.

Harley Baby Boys ✨

These are our two newest Harley baby boys from Buttercream’s litter! From a young age they are already showing that amazing Harley long furred trait!
________________________________________________

As you can see, Harley is being expressed in two different ways here at our Rattery. We are seeing Harleys with wavy fur, and Harleys with straight fur. We believe that the wave comes from mixing the velveteen gene with the Harley gene, as their lineage is heavily mixed with velveteen fur. Both versions of the Harley are adorable, and we love them both! 🥰

We held back sweet little Pipsqueak from Reva x Charming’s litter! We realized he was not only a beautiful black silvermane satin Harley, but also a super rare dwarf as well! 🥰 This little dude is going to help us to produce more dwarves in the future! ✨

Bakugo, our adorable holdback Harley boy 😍

We have observed for the first time ever how Harley babies mature and molt! These little Harleys got super patchy looking for a few weeks before their new, beautiful long coats came in! Knowing now that this line has satin in it, we are suspecting that Bakugo might also be a visual satin due to how shiny his fur is compared to our adult harley girl, Sally.

Bakugo is the funniest little guy, he is extremely playful and darts and happily hops all around when we are playing with him. He also loves to playfully tackle our cinnamon silvermane velveteen boy, Chewie. Bakugo is going to look incredible when he reaches full adulthood, especially when we get around to taking pictures of him in his warm champagne coat side by side with Sally and her beautiful blue harley fur in contrast!

We do still have ONE HARLEY BOY LEFT, in addition to a variety of velveteen boys and a pair of adult breeder boys who are all looking for homes!

Sally 💙 Our first ever Harley girl!

We knew that if we were going to come back to breeding, we were going to pick specific variations of rats that we love the most. It was pure luck and fate that we were able to end up with Sally, who happened to be an extremely rare Harley rat! 😍

It has always been a dream to own and breed Harley’s out of all of the rat varieties! Their long fur trait is adorable, and looks great when combined with other fur types like silvermane, velveteen, etc.

These pictures were taken when we first got her! Since we’ve had her, she had bonded with us and become an extremely sweet and ragdoll of a rat!
__________________________________________

Because the Harry gene is recessive, it is going to take us a litter or two before we are able to start breeding full Harley litters. If you are interested in having a Harley baby, stick around!

2022 Starling Rattery Adoption Agreement 🌟

Please be sure to read the full adoption agreement if you intend on adopting rats from us. You will be expected to agree through text upon reserving, as well as sign a physical copy of our agreement upon meetup day! You do not have to print this agreement out, we will provide it for you.

It is a privilege to be able to adopt our rats. Please do not attempt to abuse access to our Rattery and to our agreement, especially if you have agreed and signed to it. We are not responsible if you agree to and sign the adoption agreement, yet fail to ensure that you understand it’s contents afterwards.

Our Rattery offers professional, friendly, and helpful communication, at no obligation whatsoever. We expect the tone of conversation to remain as such mutually, should adopters have any issues they might need help with. At the end of the day, we will try our best to offer our free, unpaid, helpful advice (out of the goodness of our hearts), for both our adopters and their new sweet rats.

Good morning everyone! ✨

This is just a little announcement to let you all know that we are now beginning to reply to a lot of backed up messages and inquiries.

Since we stopped keeping rats earlier in the year, we have had quite a lot of inquiries in our inbox ever since!

We are very surprised with all of the people who were still looking for hand raised, pet quality rats, even after we discontinued! This was a big reason why we decided to start keeping rats again!

Please bear with us during this time as we work on responding to everyone who has messaged us, as well as everyone who is currently inquiring about our newest Silvermane x Harley litter! 🐀
