🐾Let's remember to take good care of our pets this winter!🐾

* Keep pets inside during cold weather.
* Let longer-haired dogs keep their warm coats, and consider investing in a sweater or coat for short-haired breeds.
* Keep poisons, including antifreeze and rock salt, away from animals. Visit the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center for�more information.
* Wipe a dog’s paws to rid them of rock salt.
* Bang the car hood to warn small critters that may curl up on the engine to keep warm.
* Leash dogs during snow storms, when dogs can lose their scent and get lost. More dogs are lost during the winter than during any other season, so make sure pets wear an ID tag.

Enjoy the pool, BBQ, or whatever you have planned for celebrations, but fireworks can be scary for our pets so here are some helpful 4th of July tips!

We also wanted to remind you that our office will be closed on July 4th, so anything ordered that day will be shipped out on Wednesday, July 5th, first thing in the morning.


Don’t Forget...
Your pets will eat the food dropped by your kids and guests. Even though they may be tasty, many of the things we eat are NOT good for your pets. Keep an eye out for trash and other items that may find the ground or floor.

Your pets don’t know what the 4th of July is all about. They may experience anxiety as the party gets hopping and fireworks start popping.

As we enjoy time and delicious food with our friends and family, it is important we are making sure our furry loved ones don't get a hold of something they shouldn't. Here is a list of what our pets can and can't have:

Secure the garbage can and remember to keep food away from the ledges. Table scraps, food wrappings, bones, and other items can be very tempting. Items like aluminum foil and the string from the turkey can be harmful if consumed. Be sure that all trash containers - both inside the house and outside - are securely closed so that animals cannot tear through the garbage for a private Thanksgiving feast.
As we go through the holidays, do not give your pets chocolate, alcohol or eggnog. Chocolate is toxic and can affect the heart and nervous system. Alcohol can cause coma and even death. Eggnog is very rich and can cause diarrhea.
