Wishing our pet sitter Dillya the happiest of Birthdays today 🐾🎉

Pawsitive Vibes Pet Care is so incredibly lucky to have Dillya on our team! She is extremely knowledgeable, and truly loves & respects our furry, feathered, & hoofed clients like they are her own pets.

Here’s a little story to showcase just how amazing Dillya is! While completing a pet sitting appointment for our client Sadie Mae, a little golden retriever, we noticed a pair of copperhead snakes living in a hole in Sadie’s backyard. Well, actually Sadie found them by sticking her head into the hole and just BARELY avoiding getting bitten! Dillya dropped everything she was doing to come safely remove the snakes and relocate them to a better environment making the situation much safer for Sadie, her family, and the snakes as well. Dillya continues to go above and beyond and we can always count on her to save the day!

We had a ball 🎾 volunteering for the Humane Society of Union County (North Carolina) this week!

This was our first time visiting the adoption center and we were beyond impressed! The staff puts so much thought into their care for the animals. You can tell all animals at the adoption center are loved deeply by their care takers!

We thought we would showcase a few of the dogs available for adoption at the Humane Society (but they do have several cats available for adoption too!)

She adores people and yearns for attention! She would be a great fit for an active household. Say “hello” to your new hiking buddy! She loves to play fetch and knows several commands.

Chrissy is such a smart girl that aims to please! She loves working on learning new tricks and spending time with people. She really enjoys playing tug and digging in her sandbox.

Sadie is a pint sized pup with so much love to give! She is very social and affectionate towards people. She also enjoys playing fetch and smiling for treats.

Honoring the furry friends we have lost on Rainbow Remembrance Day 🌈

What’s the worst part about being a pet sitter? When our precious clients cross the rainbow bridge 💔

Last week our team was invited to say our final goodbyes to Reagan. Reagan and her family were one of our very first clients. We have been taking care of Reagan for five years. We wanted to say thank you to her family for including us in Reagan’s final days. It was truly an honor to care for her for all these years, and she will certainly be missed!

We really hate to lose any of our clients because we love them all like they are our own. But, we are all so thankful to our Pawsitive Pack for allowing us to care for your babies, and for allowing us to be apart of their lives!

We’re thinking of you all that have had to say goodbye to your pets. Let’s honor them by sharing favorite memories 💜

Ashley is currently in school majoring in animal science. She is working towards a degree in wildlife biology and plans to attend veterinary school. She is a wildlife rehabilitation intern at the Turtle Rescue of North Carolina and volunteers with the Carolina Waterfowl Rescue.

Everyone welcome our rescue extraordinaire Miss Dillya to the team!

Dillya is a licensed wildlife rehabber so when she isn’t providing your pets with top notch care she is busy saving animals and running her pigeon rescue, Sammy's Haven. We actually met Dillya while on an animal rescue mission and knew INSTANTLY that she would be absolutely perfect for the Pawsitive Vibes team!

When Dillya isn't looking after her own rescued pets she is tirelessly caring for a variety of animals including rabbits, squirrels, turtles, birds, snakes, frogs and more. This girl does it all!

Pet lovers, we get it—you see a cute dog out for a walk and your first thought is to come over and say hello. Or maybe you recognize it as your neighbor’s dog and want to come over to give a quick belly rub.

🛑But, please, do not approach.

It’s best practice for pet sitters and dog walkers to avoid interactions with others while walking clients’ dogs.

Anything could happen, and pet-care professionals do not want anyone—you, the dog or themselves—to get injured.

So if a dog walker asks you to stop from approaching, please don’t think they are being rude. They are just prioritizing safety!
