everyday is earth day 🌎 • livin' proof farms' new logo + site launch✨🚀: 5/1/2022

after finally getting our llc registered 🥳, we decided to update our logo to a symbol that both encompasses our full mission and honors our ancestors.

by being true to ourselves, we in turn are living out our biggest dreams and fulfilling those of our loved ones who have transitioned.

we give thanks to those who have paved the way before us, the earth and the creator 🙏🏾

earlier last week we shared a quote by the great bell hooks, may she rest in power, that beautifully illustrates our mission:

"when we love the Earth,
we are able to love ourselves more fully.
i believe this.
the ancestors taught me it was so."

fun fact!🌱: radish at this stage tastes the same as it would if it were to mature...except for a small difference in the after taste, they are slightly spicey!

update🌱: kale✨ pt. II • finally under grow lights 🤩

notice the change in color?! 💚

these babies finally grew tall enough to be under the grow lights and they are definitely enjoying it!

this was our first time EVER growing microgreens and it's a pretty good yield in our opinion.

we can't deny that these are certainly beautiful, but our goal is to have more even growth on the next go around.

we can't wait until harvest day to taste these 😋

we asked, "guess the seed" & one of our followers correctly guessed: radish! 💜

this particular species is called the 'rambo radish'.

no soaking is required prior to planting this seed.
