A big thank you for everyone's patience during Covid-19. I am sure most are aware of the incredible demand and stress placed upon us chook folk during these times; as so many families wished to take on chooks for a bit of fun and yummy eggs 🥰. Over 100, yes 100 to be precise in just a few short weeks.

This sees me sold out yet again this season- So THANK YOU!! We are now having a break, have only our personal stock here and no chookies available Until JUNE/JULY.

Fertile eggs are in high demand and I have waiting lists at this stage of 6 weeks

She climbs two sets of stairs to reach him for his cuddles. Just like her Mumma did.

The journey..

I am a Mum of four gorgeous children, wife and part-time law student. Given this dynamic, I found it difficult to create a family, work and life balance - especially living in suburbia! This was when I found bantams; the seemingly perfect solution to an engaging (low demand), food producing and affectionate bird. That went on to easily tick all of those boxes (family, life and even a little work).

Fast forward to 2 years later, I am fortunate enough to own personal stock from the 4 time National Pekin Millifluer Champions and a bevy of gorgeous frizzles, mottled (blue and black) and straight coloured (black & blue) Pekins alike. Today I love being able to provide these gorgeous birds to like minded enthusiasts and tracking their progress. Proudly, many have gone on to win at local shows and have proven to be exceptional pets (yes, they love cuddles).

If I can help you with your Pekin needs- please don’t hesitate to ask via messenger (please remember that I am not a business, I am a hobby breeder and I may be at work or tending to my families/animals needs). Collection available from Springwood (Qld); Jimboomba (Qld)- STRICTLY NO HOME VISITS (for my animals and children’s protection alike). Reputable animal transport providers are of course accepted for collection upon request *(at the arrangement/payment) of the buyer only. All losses (both eggs and livestock) and/or potential illnesses due to stress brought about by the transportation will not be the liability of Pekin Tales.*
