Normally growing up when times like these would happen I would always turn to my Papa for his words of wisdom and quiet strength and faith to lead our family. His generation had been through so much, and a simple “It will be o.k.” held a lot more weight than when others would try to reassure me. So, tonight we decided to light our star here on the Poor Farm Hill as a sign of hope, peace, and a reminder that our savior is here and in control. And a gentle reminder to me that if Frit Davis were here he would calmly carry on and instruct us all to do the same. I hope it’s light helps to lift your spirits the same way it does mine.
