Wish I had better news, but unfortunately I have pericarditis from the Pfizer vaccine. I’ve been put on steroids and heart medication & will have a follow up with my cardiologist later in January. I’m hoping if that appointment goes well, to have Lizard Lunch up and running again in February, but I will update you as soon as I know.

A big thank you to all of our suppliers for their patience and understanding, as well as customers.

We hope you have a merry Christmas and a wonderful new year for 2022. Keep an eye on the page- I’m determined to beat this and be back!!

Apologies for still not being able to deliver Lizard Lunch. Just to follow on from my last post, I’ve been in hospital again, and I now have to see a cardiologist, to find out if the heart damage is permanent or temporary. I have an appt with my GP later this afternoon to organise a referral for a cardiologist. Hoping this is temporary damage from the vaccine, and I’ll be getting Lizard Lunch out to you all very soon! Thank you for your understanding.

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately I’m writing this as I’m going to need a break for a couple of weeks from the orders. I recently had the second Pfizer vaccine, and 4 days later ended up in hospital with chest pain and palpitations.

Thankfully tests show no permanent damage to the heart, but I’m on strict rest for a few weeks. At this stage I’m hoping that it will only be 1-2 weeks before I can resume Lizard Lunch. I will notify you all the second that I’m able to. I’m back home but having regular GP checks, and back to hospital should things worsen. It’s been put down to a systemic immune response.

My sincere apologies for this inconvenience. I’ve messaged all of the suppliers to let them know, too.

Another great reason to feed your pets Lizard Lunch! We don’t include fruits, which are damaging to teeth due to high sugars; we include a range of textures in produce to assist teeth cleaning; we keep the leaves large, so they can tear them, which also assists dentition. I make a point to try to cover all nutritional needs, as well as enrichment options (colour, scent, texture, variety), and making sure the food is safe for dental concerns.

A little treat in the Pets On Wheels and Raw Fed Riley Australia tubs this week. Only one leaf each, as they are high in oxalates, but variety is still always important and I’ve balanced it out with lower oxalate contents in the tubs. This is a first in the Lizard Lunch tubs- can you name this leafy green?

Attention Elite Fish and MarinePlus customers! I’m currently making these tubs up, and they will be available at each shop tomorrow (Wednesday). Please note, I’ve written on the lids that pumpkin needs to be cut smaller and fed first, as it doesn’t keep as long. I don’t cut it at eating size as it goes soft quicker.
